Is there a drop in extractor and spring for the Browning Hi Power that doesn’t need fitted?

Just my opinion! But the Canadian Military models were like military 1911's, made to be drop in parts. The current popularity of parts that need fitting, is a byproduct of many different manufacturers and to much laziness to make fine tolerances! All Belgian Brownings should be interchangeable, I assume the Portuguese made models too. The East European copies are anyone's guess!

Does this have the external extractor? If so, I've replaced them on 3-4 Hi Powers and the extractors dropped right in and functioned fine. No fitting needed. I've not done that with Hi Powers with internal extractors so I can't speak to them. I suspect they might need some fitting much like a 1911 but I really don't know.

The extractor from Apex says that the only fitting necessary is to adjust the tension to your particular side? How is that done? Different springs? I’m really not seeing how this wouldn’t just drop in and function. This Hi Power is a 1976 FN model with a parkerized finish.
