Only the obligatory 10/22 and a couple of Mark II pistols. Lots of fun (cheap) plinking!

That's nice!
I have a Blackhawk in .30 Carbine, Old Model Single Six Convertible, 32 H&R Single Six adj. sight and an Old Model Single Six .22lr that hasn't been converted to the transfer bar safety.

I've got a couple of their SA .22lr revolvers. A Single Six and a Bearcat. If they
were new enough to have the transfer bar safety, I'd never have bought them.

I find myself shooting this one more than almost any of my handguns. It's a Ruger MkII with a Tactical Solutions Pac-Lite upper. It features an aluminum receiver and barrel (one piece), with a steel barrel liner. The muzzle is threaded to take a compensator (illustrated), a sound suppressor, or even an M16 flash suppressor. A threaded muzzle cap is provided with the unit to give the appearance of an unthreaded barrel if so desired. Very light weight, very accurate. Economical to shoot, and it gets oohs and ahs every time I bring it to the firing line. Only downside is that it is a serial numbered part, and has to be bought as a firearm, with all necessary federal paperwork.

Ruger
Had so many Rugers in my lifetime, I can't remember them all. Multiple Mini 14's, 10/22's, Redhawk, Single six's, Single actions, Dbl. actions and so on,
Currently down to three. A 1959 Blackhawk .44mag, a single six convertible and a 10/22 TD.

Just the two: Mark III Standard, and a Single Six convertible. They get shot a lot, and would get shot more if not for the ammo situation.

So funny! A 2009 thread - but I'll post to it, just as others continue to do:
Early Bearcat
Early Single Six .22
Later Single Six .22 WMR
Service Six .357 Magnum, 4" barrel
Security Six .357 Magnum, 2.5" barrel
two Vaqueros, .45 Colt
Sold my 2 .44-40 Vaqueros.

4" GP100 SS .327 Magnum
4" GP100 SS .357 Magnum
6" GP100 Blued .357 Magnum
5.5" Redhawk (not Super) Blued .44 Magnum
Watch out if ever find a .357 or .41 Magnum Redhawk

Had a stainless GP .357 Magnum. Nice gun, but I hit the wall financially and sold it to a co-worker. I wish I still had it and the battered old Security Six that got away, but I can no longer shoot Magnum stuff anyway due to bad hands.

I've never been IN the closet with Ruger, as I think they are some of the most rugged and dependable revolvers made.
I worked for them for a short time in the late 1980's, and my Father recently retired from over 20 years with them.
Here are some of mine:

It's hard to follow a post like Wheely's, but I'll try. The 6" below (got a very good deal on GB) was bought to replace the first handgun I ever bought. I couldn't come to terms with the owner of that revolver so I bought this new one instead for less than it would cost me to get it back.

No closet for me, I'm out and proud!
I've been shooting Rugers my entire life, and owned many before buying my first S&W. The trend in my collection shifted after that. I still like them, however.
I currently own two: A Mk.II Target, and a custom snub SRH in .44 Mag. The SRH has become one of my favorites, and it's in my top 3 most carried handguns. I work out in the woods one day a week, and it always goes with me.

Yep, I own a few as well. I have a MKII stainless slabside with a 6 7/8 barrel, 3 ruger American rifles in two different calibers, an SR9 and a 10/22 T with a laminated stock. I consider myself an equal opportunity gun owner. I am not in the closet about anything either.

Ruger makes a fine MK I and MK II I also the SP 101 , 10-22 old style.
Then the single actions are dandy.
I wish I had kept some of them.
Most have been traded for S&W of some sort.
I wish Ruger made a delux line.

Let me see...
Blackhawk .357/.38/9mm convertible I've had for many years. Only the third handgun I ever bought. The first two are long gone.
SP101 .357/.38 my wife bought me for a birthday present in 1996
LCP (wife's)
LC9
SR22 (wife's)
SR1911
American Rimfire .22LR
(2) 10-22

Yeah, I'll admit it. Used to own a first year GP100 and a nice blued Single-Six. Still own a SBH with 10.5" bull barrel, .357 SP101 and a stainless 22/45. Got my eye on a 4 5/8" Blackhawk in 45Colt/45ACP in either blue or stainless but haven't pull the trigger on that purchase yet.

No closet for me. I love Rugers. Have owned 13. Still own 12.
I even have an NIB 10/22 Magnum. Single extractor, at that.
I love my Smiths, but my BH, RH, and GP can handle loads I'd be scared poopless to run through any K, L, or N frame.
I wouldn't trade any of my Rugers for a Smith, any more than I'd trade any of my Smiths for a Ruger. They both appeal to me, in different ways.
Why would I limit myself to one brand?
Brand loyalty is for the weak-minded.
I also like Colts, Charters, Dan Wessons, some Tauri, and some Rossis.
I just wish new Marlins were worth owning. I hate what happened to them because I love their rifles.
Especially the two I own.

I guess if having a couple in my gun closet makes me a "closet" Ruger guy, then mea culpa...
Smiths are my favorite, but I'm not so brand-loyal as to pass up other makes if the value is there and it's a caliber I'm interested in.

I have a bull-barreled .220 Swift Model 77 that is a shooter. I think my only other Ruger is a Mini-14. I love that thing. It's my "retro" AR, since I don't own any of those new-fangled thingies.

Okay, I'll...c-c-come out of the closet...(*sniff*)...I've been in the closet for way too long...I'm s-s-so ashamed...(*sniff*)(*****)...
Heh, heh.
Yes, I own several Rugers: a .44 magnum Redhawk, two .44 Special (Lipsey's) all-steel Blackhawks, and a blue 10/22.
I used to own a Mini-14, but I sold it.

No in the closet here. I'm a ruger guy first. Always. When I pump up my Magnum rounds there for Rugers only.
Rugers for strength.
Smith & Wesson for history.
Colt for history.
These are tops in revolvers to me.

I've owned 6 Ruger Mark/Standard .22 semi-autos over the years (my only Rugers). IMHO the only .22 pistol to own. Even own a Model 41 that my Volquartsen tricked Ruger will out shoot all day

"Closet Ruger guy"? Naah, I came out years ago with a 6" Standard .22 auto and have had and moved a couple more since. Also a 6.5" .357 NMB, a couple of SBHs, a couple or three 10-22s and a .223 #3. Currently have a .375 WCF #3, a 5.5" MkII Bull Bbl. Target, Lipsey .44 Spl. 4 5/8" Flattop Bisley and an unmodified "4 click" Bearcat.

Well, given this thread has come back to life, we need at least one picture:
The Ruger is a GP-100 in blue.
Somehow a 642 got into the picture, but this is a S&W board...

Wow - great thread revival! It's funny. To me, Rugers have never been anything I really sought after, yet when I think about it, I've managed to grow a fairly sizable pile. I'm guessing it's because they work and they are affordable. From 10/22's many years ago, to an SP101 I had in college that I wish I never got rid of, to a Blackhawk .357/9mm dual cylinder that I picked up for a steal while on a road trip, and many many more mixed in the pile. They are simply great guns. Great American guns. The most recent isn't "mine", but I have to say I'm a bit jealous. One of our family traditions is when one hit the old age of 10, they got their first gun. A Henry bolt action .22 youth model. Then when they turn 13, they get their first .22 handgun, which always happens to be a Ruger. At 18, well...we'll cross the bridge when we get there.
Here's the latest for our daughter from the other night. We celebrated with her favorite pizza, a bit of coin for her next musical instrument she's been saving up for and her "13th" pistol. Special ordered in a favorite color. I dressed it up with one of my cans just to see how it balanced.

Not in the closet at all, out loud & proud. 10/22, Mini-14, Single-Six 22lr/wmr convertible, and a Redhawk in 41mag. As good as anything in the safe, the 10/22 in particular. If there's a better production 22 rifle, I haven't found it yet.

This GP100 was my first revolver.
Later I picked up this New Single Six.

Ruger 10/22 stainless with gray laminate stock that Wal-Mart sold years ago and a security trade in .38 GP-100 revolver. Pleased with both. My first .22 revolver was a OM Single-Six with extra .22 WMR cylinder, box, paperwork, and holster and gun belt. Stupidly traded it.

Not in the closet at all, either. I love Rugers...have 4 of them right now:
1965 Standard .22LR with 5.5" barrel;
1981 Speed Six .357 with 2.75" barrel I just got a couple weeks ago;
1995 SP101 DAO .357 with 2.25" barrel;
2012 GP100 .38 with 3" barrel
I would love to get my hands on a stainless Security Six next.

I purchased grips for a Super Redhawk I never bought. Sold them and been buying Smith revolvers since. Tried to like the LCR when it came out but like the J frames better.
The wife has a P89 and I have a 22/45 and 10/22. The kid wants a MKIII.
