Just thought I would share this with yall
Just got in a Lon Humphrey Knives "Ranger"
This is a full custom fixed blade - Lon does everything from start to finish. The blade is hand forged 52100 a little over 7" & .185" thick. The scales are Desert Ironwood with Blue Liners. A nice leather sheath comes with it. What I really like in particular about this knife is the exceptional heat treat and ergonomics.
All Lons knives feel so good in hand. & they're as sharp as any knife I've ever saw straight outta the box.
Anyone interested, KSF (knives ship free) have these in stock. The last time Lon Humphrey made the Ranger was 3 years ago. It's untelling if & when he ever makes another run again or not.
At any rate, thanks for letting me share gang.

Thanks for putting it with the revolver for scale. It's much bigger than I thought looking at the first pics. Nice knife.

Thank you, sir. I appreciate that.
But, yes sir, she's over 7" & what's unique (imo) is that the handle is not as thick as you think it would be.
When I first handled it, I thought that the handle could be a little thicker. But, I'm starting to 2nd guess that thought. Mainly due to it being .185" which by no means is thin per say, but it does lend to it being very fast in hand. I'll know more today as I'm gonna help my brother dress a buck later this morning.

Lon does fine work. Congratulations!

Thank you, sir.
I agree. Lon really does. Especially nailing that 52100 heat treat. Which imo, that's the most important part.
I can't wait to get into this steel.
Especially see what's going on after the first sharpening!
