Setting & options - Edit options working?
Edit options does not appear to be working to me;
http://smith-wessonforum.com/profile.php?do=editoptions
returns an error from FF and IE;
------------------------------------
Content Encoding Error
The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because it uses an invalid or unsupported form of compression.
Please contact the website owners to inform them of this problem.
------------------------------------
Do we need to add something to make this page work properly?
Thanks.

An fyi. On FF I am able to get this page to display and work properly by entering the url: about:config
then click the I promise button...
then replace the value for key named: network.http.accept-encoding from: gzip, deflate to: true
And it works for me now.
So far I have not been able to find a similar setting to change on IE, but frankly I rarely use it as it is.
Perhaps this will help to allow further debugging of the issue with the web server.

User CP
I cannot open the "Edit Options" section of the User CP. I can open everything else. Is anybody else having this problem? (I want to permanently change the skin to Light Blue Large Font like it was in the good ole days.)

I can't access it either. I get this error message:

Until a permanent fix is found and implemented, if you want to make your option changes you can use the Firefox web browser and perform the change to the browser as shown in post #3.
With this modification you can work around the issue and get your option changes in.
When done making your changes, you do the about:config again, find the key and right click on it then select the reset option to set the value back to what it was originally.

Have stumbled on a change to make a work around this issue for those using IE 9.
In the IE9 menu bar, go to:
Tools, Internet Options, Advanced and then go down to Use HTTP 1.1 Settings and uncheck the "Use HTTP 1.1".
Then apply the change and restart IE and see if the User CP options link now works for you.
Once you make your forum option changes, I would recommend you go back in to the IE advanced settings and check this box followed by a restart IE so you don't run in to any issues down the road with this value toggling.
