Even after repeated warnings as to the now 2A only nature of the this section, I continue to go off the reservation so to speak? I just wanted to apologize to Lee for doing so, and so often! While I never regret saying anything I may say in this section. I do regret pulling up a chair at Lee's table, having him serve up a cup of coffee for me enjoy, then callously firing up a stogie rather than observing the no smoking signs. I'm putting myself on a rest of July probation in the 2A section. Perhaps this will assist in teaching myself to not be a moth to a flame!

Does a tolerant person, by definition, have to tolerate my intolerance?

Lee your picture should be right next to the word tolerant in the Funk and Wagnal:)

I don't see why you have to put yourself in Time Out. It's not you, it's the specific behavior and you realize what your doing. That's 90% of the battle. What the Man say? "Go and sin no more." I'm not about tossing rocks, there's too much crystalline silica in the walls of my dwelling.

IMO, fuggedabout the Self Time Out. All you have to do before posting is ask yourself "Is it relevant and on topic?"

It's a fine and blurry line sometimes between 2A and politics because so much of the 2A debate is politicized. Some members may look at a given thread and ask "What's going on? I thought politics was off-limits in 2A?" For a thread about the President's pitch at the All-Star Game, they'd be correct. OTOH, for the media circus covering the monumental waste of time and resources in the Senate Judiciary Committee hearings on the SCOTUS nominee, it's a tough call. Judge Sotamayor's testimony in re: her opinion on 2A is relevant and on topic for the 2A forum, IMO and that of the other mods and The Boss. That's why these Sotamayor threads are running.

Back on point: All any member should do is ask themselves before making ANY post in ANY forum: "Is this on topic and relevant?" Mods would not have to move as many posts from "Guns for Sale" to "Accessories for Sale" if members selling grips, barrels, lockwork parts, holsters, etc., did so. ;)

. . . then callously firing up a stogie . . .

At least you were considerate enough to not pass gas . . . ;)

I thank the owner and moderator for their kindness! I'll refrain from whizzing any Napalm on to any pilot lights for the balance of the month, just to see if my head explodes from merely making the attempt! I was not pleased with myself for pledging "not to" so many times, then going right back and doing so again a week later? I flat out suck at rules of engagement! (Duh? Betcha' hadn't noticed that?)

But, we want to play! (I'm throwing a tantrum on the floor, stomping, yelling, you know the drill)
