Just a question that occurred to me while reading my What's Your Favorite .22 handgun? post.

Do I own a K22? Hell, yes! Everyone should.

Mine is an early post war, s/n K15XXX. I shoot it when I want to feel good about my marksmanship.

Great gun.

I use it for cheap practice while retaining the feel of my Model 14. It's also a great way to use up the Russian Junior Brass and Aguila Standard Velocity that my High Standard doesn't like.

There should be another category- I USED to, but I traded it years ago in one of the absolute STUPIDEST trades I ever made!!!

Yep. Here it is.

Yep, an 18-3, 1975 vintage. Given to me in 1978 at age 13. The box? Well.....um....I was 13 at the time........didn't know any better. Probably kept it for 5 or 10 years until I tossed it.....

Yes I am lucky enough to own a few, a pre-17, a 17-3 and a 18-4. They are a lot of fun and cheap to shoot. Whats not to love?

And

A pre 18. I'm in the process of fitting one with a MAG cyl. 17-2, 1962. Yowsa!

I have a 17-3 and an 18-3. Great guns, without question.

Don't know if I'll ever get another or not.

Drat! As soon as I hit the Submit button I realized I'd forgotten to add the pre-18. Sorry guys.
I'll accept your vote under model 18 and you can add a sidebar in the reply section. Thanks.

My first handgun at age 13 was a 6" 17-3, thankfully I still have it along with several other 17's, a pre-17, 18 and several 617's.
