I was looking to get an HKS Mag Loader for my MP40. The chart on the back of the packages does not include the MP
line, but it appears that their Model 940 would be the appropriate one.

Does anyone here have an HKS Mag Loader Model 940 (or another Model?) that they are using with the double stack
mags for the MP40?

Copy of their chart is pasted below.

Thanks,

TFred

The upLulu looks very good... but quite a bit more expensive than the HKS... Still looking to hear if the 940 will work with the MP40 mags...

While I can't swear to it never having tried it personally, if it's a double stack I see no reason why it wouldn't? Does that particular magazine have a type of exotic construction where it inserts into the action? You may want to contact the manufacturer. One things sure, it's the fastest, easiest device I've ever used? Never a bobble with this thing!

Not an M+P, but the 940 is what I use on my Sigma 40ve. The slot for the mag base is angled and had to have a small piece cut so it would take the flat base Sigma double stacks. No problem whatsoever, just a couple of minutes with an xacto.

Get an Uplula........#1

Get yourself an Uplula loader, I have used a couple different ones and Butler Creek has a jewel. It is made in Israel and it is a fine piece of work. You can get it at Optics Planet.com for under $24.00. And if you get something else to get up to $30.00, it is free shipping! I can load 6 mags in about a minute and it sure saves on the ol' thumbs.

Definately go with the UPLULA! I got mine on Ebay for around $25 with free shipping. Best $25 I ever spent!

When I first saw the heading about the HKS magazine loader for an MP40, I first thought about the German MP40 Submachine gun. Does anyone know if there is an affordable magazine loader that can be used on an MP40 magazine? Those magazines aren't exactly the easiest to load without some assistance.

I assume that you are talking about a Smith M&P40. If so, the cheapest solution is to use a Glock loader if you can stand the logo on the side.

I have two M&P9's, and I use the standard Glock loader that comes with every new double stack 9 and 40 Glock. Works perfectly, cheaper than a rock, and I don't know why it wouldn't work with a M&P40. They can be found in any gun store that sells Glock parts or online at any of the Glock merchants.
