Of the small collection of guns I have, my favorite amongst them all would probably be my Magnum Research Desert Eagle MK. XIX in .50 AE. This pistol continues to amaze me for an automatic. Anyone else have a favorite in their personal collections?

The top one. Even though the bottom one shoots better as I recall.

On the range, favorite is firing my P-38 P-1, but for carry: Officer's .45acp.

I have too many "favorites".

My current favorite is a pre-17 that I bought a few weeks ago.

Probably my all-time favorite is a 4" Model 66 that I've owned for 24 years. It's the last gun I'll ever sell.

Colt Commander-given to me by a fellow Infantryman-now its all tricked out.

I have many guns and can not pick a favorite. I like them all for various and different reasons. Some I inherited, rest I bought because I thought I needed them for a purpose, or just liked their looks or reputation. Now, there are some I bought that I knew I could make money on that I am less attached to. I could narrow it down if asked and told for what reason or purpose. If a gun saved my life, it would be a no brainer.

Favorite rimfire rifle is a Marlin 39A I bought with money earned selling boiled peanuts in 1960 or 61. Favorite centerfire rifle is a Savage 99A in .250-3000 I bought in about 1973. Favorite shotgun is a Parker 20 gauge Trojan Model I inherited from my Daddy, who inherited it from his Uncle, who purchased it in about 1916.

Favorite handgun varies. Right now it is the 62 year old K-22 I bought last week. For a while it was a .45 Colt S&W Mountain Gun. Then, it was a Model 63 S&W. From time to time, a WWII/Korea era 1911A1 takes precedence over all the others.

Is that specific enough?;)

dang. giving us a total breakdown was great. i totally understand that finding a favorite is a hard thing to do. especially when one has many firearms that he/she loves. i guess i shouldnt have been so vague on the title? :)

still loving the selections here. i find it very interesting none the less.

and by the way, i love that Marlin!

Ok, I will play. 1st, this was dads winchester model 61 octogon barreled .22lr that he bought in the late 1930s and helped feed our family with on a ranch in oregon. He taught me to shoot with it when I was a boy.

I bought this winchester 94 30/30 new in about 1956 when I was 15 and shot some deer with it.

This S&W 5" model 29-2 .44 mag has been a favorite for close to 40 years. As has the 5" 27-2 I bought new with my name engraved in gold, done by S&W factory about the same time, my favorite pair.

My M1 Garand.

I was thinking of all the wonderful hand guns and rifles I am fortunate to own and if I could only own 1 and only 1 It too may be my Garand.
I have an unfired Enfield No4Mk1,,, That one is close as well as my 4" model 27 or my 53' K22....
Favorite Huh????
Cant decide just yet.

I've got all kinds of guns, long and short, but I would have to honestly say my favorites would be my M1 rifles.

I don't shoot them as much as I would like because of the ammo/primer/powder shortage, but they are the very last ones I would ever want to part with.

For carry, M36/M60 snubbies, all the rest are just fun to play with.

and great photos guys. there are some very nice weapons posted so far in this thread. keep em comin! i too love the M1 rifles, but have not found one that i happend to have the money to spend just yet. now if i could just get my hands on a BAR then i think that would do me in.

My favorite would have to be my Kimber.......Followed closely by my Glock 22
