Instead of taking it like a man... he goes out like the whiny punk that he is.
Most people work in a situation of at will employment.
He got a contract with a huge buyout... and is going out like a 5 year old that was told "no more candy".
This country doesnt produce any more men...

Yep, I watched it last night and about fell out of my chair I was laughing so hard. I'm hoping that Conan gets a shot on Fox and comes back edgier and overshadows the Tonight Show in his ratings.

Never liked him, so AMF. He's getting a fat buyout, he should never have been given the Tonight Show anyway IMO. There was no shafting, he's richer than we'll ever be for doing nothing and was in over his depth, c-ya.

After listening to Leno and Letterman whore for Obama last fall, I no longer waste time watching either of them. Conan the Rotarian was past my bedtime so I didn't see him. I'll watch the last two shows, then it's back to South Park reruns.
At least South Park is equal opportunity comedy.

Yep, they offend everyone equally:D:D:D

I watched Conan occaisionally but it was usually too late for me. He stretched a bit far for a joke but it was fun to laught AT him.

Leno never had game on Letterman. I found him mildly amusing, but I'd watch Dave every time coz it was no contest.

I'm not keeping up w/this much, yet I gather the Jay was supposed to blow and changed his mind.

Anywho it wouldn't surprise me if it was all, everyone in unison now, a conspiracy to boost ratings all the way around.

I'm sorry what was I thinking?

Jay is better.....

.....................for me to poop on!

Jay was bitter because some NBC moron gave the Tonight show to Conan, who didn't deserve it. Leno has easily had the highest late night ratings, and deserves them. Unlike Letterman, he occasionally skewers Democrats, too.

As far as I know, Leno has also not dated any female staffers. He seems loyal to his wife. Letterman is the opposite, and neither he or Conan is funny. Letterman also has a mean streak, causing some celebs to try to avoid his show. I greatly enjoyed seeing Heidi Klum make a fool of him. At the time, Heidi didn't even have really fluent English!

This is absolutely hilarious-I have a whole new respect for COnan after the shafting he got from NBC :D :D :D

Hey Caj, You can shaft me this one time if you match the multimillion bailout he and his staff are getting. I'll send the Cayman account # for the transfer of funds. Poor Conan.

I could care less about their personal lives...that said, Leno was funny 10 years ago but he is on autopilot now...you could see his punch lines coming from space....Jay's man on the street bits are borrowed from Steve Allen only him and Louis Nye were much funnier. Jay does a lot of hack stuff. Conan is much more cutting edge comedy and he has much better writers. When I used to write for comics at the Improv, there were two types...those that got more laughs from the drunken, bussed in audience, and those that got more laughs from the their colleagues....Conan falls into the latter, which is a badge of honor to comics, although plenty of people in TV land find him quite funny...myself included.

As for the whining...sure Conan is set for life...but I admire him that it is not about the money...all comics worshipped Johnny and the chance to sit in his seat is the ultimate honor. People don't get into comedy for the money...they do it because they love it and probably can't do anything else. There are a thousand starving comics for every Seinfeld or Ray Romano. As for Zucker, he is a known dbag and should have kept his commitment to Conan.

I personally liked the old Leno Tonight Show/Conan Late Night setup. I found Conan to be hilarious and would watch him at the later time slot. I don't find myself watching him on The Tonight Show much, but I always thought he was funny. Though this week he's been on a roll.
