I've been wondering about what might be the maximum capacity we'll see in 357 magnum. N-frames have 8 round capacities. I suppose that more rounds would be possible in an X-frame. Do you think that 8 rounds is probably the limit, or do you think that 9 or even 10 rounds may be possible in the future?
Thanks for your thoughts.

Personally I think 8 rounds is as far as it will go. I remember when Taurus and Smith had the war where first it was seven shots and then eight between the two. I think with the high cap autos still running the show (at least according to some of the Gun Mags / advertising catalogs) most will ignore high capacity revolvers. I see a few of the Taurus 608's for sale once in a while here (a few years ago they were the duty guns for a local and rural sheriff's department) and they tend to be pretty cheap because they sit. Revolvers are a tough thing to sell in some places, where I live, you can't give them away, since there are alot of younger guys and those in LE seem to be big Glock, Springfield, M & P shooters.

It would be interesting to see how many they could fit into an X frame cylinder. Or a Super Redhawk. I wouldn't mind having an 8 shot Super Redhawk.

Don't know what it is, but I've always thought a "7 shooter" was just a bit... I don't even know... "A bit off?"

Saw a PC 8 shooter & for some reason that was OK. Odd & even numbers maybe?

Why not a seven shooter? You could have a bullet for every day of the week.Twosday could be a problem though.

Heck, I have a 8 shot 357 R8, I'd rather have a 6 shot J frame.

It's like that odd 5 or 7 shot. A nice even 6 shot J frame should not be hard to make. just a tad bigger. Might have to snag a 6 shot 327 Federal if they ever actually produce any.(not the ugly comp one they have now)
