At that same wonderfull age of 15 I had snuck a couple guns out of the house, and had taken them out to the edge of town with a buddy and we were target shooting. Needless to say, I was shot by a 1910 Mauser .25 acp steel jacket bullet. Clean thrugh the left upper arm, missed everything important and healed well. Just a little round scar on each side of my arm. It didn not turn me away from guns, maybe gave me a deeper interest in them. It did make me a lot safer, and did inspire me to get a NRA Cert. Instructer training and now do conduct classes for others, and oversee a bullseye league.
