Need a belt now that I have my CCW.

Saw a Bianchi belt on Amazon for a little under $30. Anyone know or use this one? Recommendations? Bud

I bit the bullet and bought a stock Beltman belt. I love it. I can put my loaded 9c on the middle of the belt and pick the belt up by the ends and the gun doesn't bend the belt at all. This is one stiff belt.

Be careful of that inexpensive Bianchi belt. I suspect for that price it is one of the thinner ones. I have one and it is too thin. They do make thicker belts, but they are more expensive. I've had very good luck with Triple K.

I've had my Bianchi for gosh, 10 years or more. Ware it daily and it's just now starting to get kind of funky. Plan on pickin' up another one in a month or two. They're pretty good belts IMHO.

Amish don't ware belts,LOL.

I'm just glad that the Amish don't wear belts.
That just makes them available to the rest of us so
we can slip them thru the loops & slots of our complicated lives........

I was in Walmart the other day and happened to look at belts in the mens section. They had a belt marked as a "work" beltBrown leather and cloth outside, and a very stiff material inside. $12. Works better then most of the "gun" belts I own.

I would be willing to bet that if you carry much you will quickly see the cloth portion of a belt like that getting tattered or coming off.

I've found that if a belt has any stitching at all that it will eventually start breaking loose in the holster area. If your belt has two layers that needs stitching to keep the two layers together then it better be very well made or you'll have problems later on.

Because of the above I've come to rely on a simple, one piece, thick as the holster slots will allow, leather belt.

Your mileage may vary, which all depends on the holster type & how much you carry.

My Beltman has two pieces and if I remember right, there's a reason for that. I guess one piece can stretch, but when you put another on top and run the grain the opposite way it makes the leather stronger. Kind of like plywood.

I have had at least a hundred belts in my short life, and I have liked some of the older ones that were made of heavy leather, but this Beltman is really an amazing thing.

Whatever you buy, BE SURE TO READ THE CORRECT SIZING METHOD. It's not the same as buying a belt off the rack. I wear a 34 pant and my customer belts are around 37".

I went over to Tandy Leather (On Hampden near SanteFe, since you are local) and bought a belt blank made of harness leather. That is some thick, stiff leather. I then cut it to length, punched the holes in it for the buckle and dyed it black. I am in to it about $20.00, not counting the buckle.

It is a good belt for me, I have 2 guns riding on it. My Sigma .40 is on the strong side and my Ruger LCR .357 is on weak side cross draw. I have been using it for about 2 months or so and is holding up very well.

Five stars for the Beltman! Why go cheap when one of his will last almost forever? Your gunbelt is an important part of your CCW package...don't skimp!

I've been using a Dickies work wear belt for almost a year. All leather, plenty stiff and only about $10.

Will definitely check that one out. Also hear Lobo Gun Leather is now making belts too, and I have a Lobo holster.

Our duty gear is nylon, and I've found that the 5.11 Double Duty TDU belts are excellent support underneath our duty belts. They also easily support my concealed carry revolvers (Yes, I carry two.) when I'm dressed casually (99.99% of the time). I have a 1.75" and a 1.5" belt that work with various holsters, depending on the belt slot size.

My brother swears by his Amish belt. He wants a black one to go along with his brown one. Luckily, the Wanenmacher Arms Show is coming up on March 31/April 1!
