The Slide Fire Stock

Soooo...Got my timney trigger, fricken love it, when up and ran simulated auto for 2 hours, had a huge smile on my face.
2 things I noticed, wondering if anyone had any ideas. First, Some one earlier had mentioned the harder the pull forward, the faster it shoots. This did not seem to be true for mine, I still wanted to pull somewhat lightly on the front as if I pulled too hard it would just cancle out any recoil there would have been. Maybe this is due to my weight on my gun (ForeGrip, fairly large laser, 3x9 scope and red dot) I think next time I go up I will put the irons back on just to test this.
Second, and most disapointing, I could dump an entire mag no prob, but every other mag, I would easily get 3-4 rounds FTF. I picked one up and noticed it had deffinately been struck, but right along the edge of the round. Do you guys think this is just the mag not keeping up and the pin striking to soon, or maybe I need to do the firing pin spring mod so that it strikes harder.
Was lots of fun and worked very well, but I would like it to work flawlessly.
P.S. Also gunna try other ammo, as I was using Federal Bulk, but I have been using this ammo since I got the gun and had maybe 10 total FTF until yesterday where I had at least 20.

Okay; "the harder the pull forward, the faster it shoots". Me and another member posted that. And it's true to an extent. No, you can't pull it like your rubbing one out. However until I installed the trigger I felt the need to "baby" it. And if i didnt it wouldn't work. No I'm posting this video as an example. I had a ftf, racked the handle grabbed the gun and went back to firing instinctively. Fact is you should be able to manhandle it and forget about the pressure part. Here:
Concerning the ammo issue: I've heard both sides from the mag not keeping up to a light hammer spring. The latter being the most common. But then primers come in. CCI MiniMags give me hell sometimes. Video example here too:
With Remington thunderbolt ammo it runs mostly flawless.

As far as weight? I'd say one optic, drum and grip at most. I've run most of what you have just not all at once.

What a FUN FREAKING Day
My wife Chi and I had probably the Best QUALITY time we have had in Months......
Now for my Review of the Slide Fire Stalk.....
Ok.... 3lb trigger is awesome... JP trigger works flawless.....
Weight is a HUGE issue...... I had to pull off my Fore Grip.... 3x9 Scope.... and just go with Refract Site and Angled foregrip (see pic)....... and I was dialed
Went to the DESERT with 19-25rd mags and 2 Blackdog 50rd Mags to PLAY with......... ended up shooting about 700rds thru the 15-22.... what a FUN and relaxing day.....
Wife and i played Shooting games... Sun WORSHIPED.... and had a BLAST...
ok More Review.....
Could not be consistent with Blackdog 50rd drums..... to much weight i think..... but as i perfect my Technique it could be done...
Magpul Angled foregrip is AWESOME........ thumb Behind and 2 fingers in front and FULLY AUTO is accomplished... keeps my Hand off the Mag....
By the end of our day i PUMMELED my reactive BALL and discharged the last 8 MAGS Full Auto.......
Fun times for sure
For the aprox $450 you judge by the SMILE on my face if it was PRICELESS and WORTH the $$$$$

First time out - just put about 300 rds through it. Like others, I couldn't get the 50 rnd drum mag to work. I could get 3-4 rnd bursts but I think its too heavy. I had the primary arms micro dot and the vertical grippod on the gun. I may try removing everything and see if that helps w/the 50rd drum.
I put in the rock river stage 2 trigger - no other mods. Hammer pin was creeping (almost spitting it out) - so I ordered some kns pins for it.

I would highly recommend to anyone who can spare the additional coin - go with the Timney 3lb trigger. Weight hasn't been an issue with a drum, silencer, scope, foregrip, etc.

Zen...All kinds of ammo work for you? I still have spuratic issues with mine, but they dont seem to be caused by weight. Used winchester bulk this weekend stuff was gawd awful, FTF every 4-10 rounds, only got maybe 2 full mag dumps. When I was using federal bulk, it worked better, but I still had plenty FTF's. I picked up a couple of these and noticed the indent was on the very edge of the casing. Do you think I am having feeding issues with the mag just not keeping up, or maybe I should do the firing pin spring mod so it hits em a little harder?
Oh also SWFA outdoors has them the cheapest I have seen em 170 and about $10 for shipping, but call first, they let your order process and then send you an email saying they are out. I ended up canceling my order because I wanted it NOW, but they said they were getting some in the next couple of weeks, and that was about 2 weeks ago.

Learned Something yesterday that Im gunna Try at the Range in the AM.....
Then ill know for sure if its WEIGHT or ME with the 50rd Drum
Also 1914 try NOT to hold the Magazine Area.... try a AFG2 grip... will help alot with yer Technique

Haven't had a problem with pins falling out with the Timney. Mine came with set screws in the bottom that once you've installed the trigger and put the pins in you screw the screws down putting pressure on the pins then another set of screws on top of the 1st keep them from backing out. After many, many mag dumps and around 500+ rounds the pins are as tight as ever. YMMV
Ya, you can deffinately do that, but that was designed for an aluminum frame not polymer, I did screw mine down a bit, but noticed flexing immediatly in the bottom of the frame, right where the trigger hole is. Decided it would be better for the long term just to drop the $27 on the pins rather than stress the frame.

My wrist is sore.... so think I was OVER thinking the BIG Drums....
Gunna try some 9mmm Pistols tomorrow and then BACK to AR on Friday
