Where can I find the magazine base plates sold by them selves?

My 9c came with one plain magazine, and one with the finger rest. I HATE the one without the finger rest, so I'm looking for just that bottom plate with the finger rest on it that I can swap onto it.

I can't find them for the life of me. Where can I find one?

Call or e-mail S&W. They will send them out for free or at least they did a few months ago.

I tried that route , but no luck. Ended up ordering from Midway. Sure worth a try though.

That's odd...I've called S&W several times, for each of my various M&P pistols, and each time they sent me a extended floor plate. I always ask if I can buy one, and would be happy to pay for it, but they always just send me one.

Call the Parts Department at S&W.

I ordered one from Midway. Kind of crappy because they charge you an extra $3 if your order is under $10 for no good reason at all.

double post :

I just confirmed that S&W will send you one for free.

My conversation with S&W CS went like the following :

SW - Thank you for calling S&W

me - Hi. I'm looking for a part for my pistol.

SW - Do you have a part number?

me - No I don't. I'm looking for the finger rest for a M&P9c magazine. One of my magazines came with one and the other one didn't.

SW - Yeah, they ship out with one magazine for people who want to conceal carry.

me - I don't like the flat one too much. Is the finger rest available by its self?

SW - Yes it is. What your name?

me - broknindarkagain

SW - Whats your address?

me - Arizona

SW - Alright, I'll have one out on its way to you no charge. It will be there in 5 - 7 days.

I did the exact same thing, less than a week later, my freebie was in my mailbox.

Now that's customer service :).

I've been more then happy with their customer service. Shortly after I bought my pistol, I contacted them because my take down lever would not stay down....making it an absolute pain in the butt to field strip it. No questions asked about when I bought my pistol or even if I was the original owner...they just sent out a new one for me.

Ditto on all the above!
S&W customer service is top notch!
I called hunting the finger rest floor plate for purchase and they did the same thing to me.
I also had an encounter with them on a magazine spring for my Walther P-22.
I searched for one to replace one in a magazine a friend gave me that he FOUND at his deer lease. The spring was rusted into but the mag was fine with some cleaning!
I told the CS agent at S&W just that and said I was having trouble locating one.
He just started asking my name and address and said one was in the mail!

That is customer service!
