I dont carry anything less the a 9mm. Im in Philly and during summer it get hot and humid here too, very humid. We're talking 95 degree day with 99% humidity. At times it gets like a sauna outside. I wear jeans, sneakers, tank-top and a t-shirt over it. IWB Glock 19/17, HK USP9, or M&P. The way I see it is 99% of my day is spent in air conditioned places. I wake up, home = AC. I go somewhere, car = AC. I get there, still AC. Sometimes Im outside but its still not a big deal. Its a little hot but Im not soaking wet or anything.

Rather have a j frame but I would take the Kahr and tell my cousin he's good for nothing.

I would have made the same choice that you did, unless I could fire a couple of magfulls from the .380 and found that it worked and shot to POA. If that were the case, I'd take the flat .380 over the round .22 MRF.

I live in the humid south for now. In the summer I carry a J frame airweight or a model 649 in a pocket holster every where I go. I prefer a j frame to any .380 and I can shoot my j frames very well.

As it turns colder I can move up to a K frame or my Glock 19..but when it comes to one gun i can carry everywhere ..in shorts or jeans and polo shirt....the air weight j frame is hard to beat. That comes after a lot of years and lot more guns..YMMV

I voted Kahr P380, due to the caliber even though the smallest caliber I carry is 9mm or 38 SPL.

I picked other. I spend time in Tucson and Cochise county every year and my take along firearm is my Glock 27 .40 in a Kramer IWB #2. Conceals very well under my usual dress of shorts and Hawaiian shirts, and I have 9 rounds of .40 at my disposal plus an extra mag with another 9 rounds. also, if the airline "loses" by baggage, I'm only out a Glock!

I, too, went with the .380 due to caliber. Were the J-frame in .38-spl, I would have opted for that one.

I didn't include the Jframe 38/357 bec that is the no-brainer and is the normal discussion. I wanted harder choices to make.

I have both and P380 shoots POA at 7 yds/less ... it's great gun for that genre ... it's a toss-up really

I live in Phoenix, and I carry my Glock 19/23/32 all summer long, and I'm in shorts 98% of the time. In fact, some days I carry my Glock 20. Not that difficult with a decent holster & belt.

Therefore, I voted "other".

Springfield's XDs model (Not XD 45) is an extremely compact .45 that easily conceals in any type of clothing. Lightweight, well-built, and packing a handful of .45 ACP, it is an extremely attractive CCW. I wasn't convinced until I saw the one a friend recently purchased. He said recoil was very manageable with 185 gr.

I really want a 45 M&P Shield but I don't think I have the patience to wait.

How would you say the recoil feels? As compared to a 357 snubbie for example? (as I have a lot of experience with those)

Since you gave the option of "other" I selected it, since I wouldn't choose any of those choices, as long as I had another choice. If you had left "other" off, and we had to choose ONLY from the choices you listed, I would choose the Kahr 380...BUT, I emphasize, that would be my choice if I had no other choices!

My choice is the S&W Shield 9mm.
