SWS Brass Deflector is now available

Damn...that was quick for USPS First Class shipping...shipped on Monday and received in VA today. Very nice work...can't wait to install it and give it a shot (pun intended). Thanks SWS!!

Mine shipped Monday, as well. We'll see if the letter carrier brings it today. It left the Connecticut sort center at 0200.

I love getting new toys as much as my grandchildren do. :)

I got mine today too, but it didn't have far to go.

It's a quality looking product, and your service was excellent.

Thank you SWS!

Got mine yesterday...installed it, and took it out and fired off a couple of mags (it was late, and I had to stop before it got dark:(:(), but it piled all my brass in a neat little pile on the towel I had on the bench!! GREAT JOB!!!;);)

Arrived about 20 minutes ago. Installed and looks great ... An improvement on the 45 degree rail and section of ladder cover. :)

hmm...I've been waiting for this, can't believe I missed out. What was the price on this?

Received mine today as well. Nice looking lil' item. Can't wait to range test it. The shooting stalls at the indoor range are lil' tight and looking forward to not getting pelted by brass bouncing off the stall dividers.

Nice work SWS!!

I figure it's good etiquette not to rain hot brass on the bench to the right of me at the more spacious outdoor ranges too :) Makes cleanup a bit easier as well.

Well dang, I left work early today to get some work done on the farm, so have no clue if mine came in. I am a righty but because of a bad eye, I have to shoot lefty. Looking forward to trying this new addition to the family.

Received mine today. Looks great, now need to try it out.

It worked great, no more hot brass bouncing back from the divider at the range.

It was a snug fit with my UTG QD cantilever mount but no problem.

I didn't even have to trim my ladder rails - it just slotted right on and looks like it belongs. Great accessory.

Now if we could only have him make magazines... :D

Is it still possible to "open and show clear" during comps?

You can easily see an open bolt through the slots. If a chamber flag is required, an ordinary Popsicle stick fits through a slot into the ejection port nicely.

I like it, quality piece all the way but I think the shield needed to be 3/8" longer. This way the mount would sit flush with the angled end of the picatinny rail, and not hang off the edge of it. IMHO then it would look completely perfect and cutom made for the rifle. The mounting block hanging off the end of the picatinny rail really bothers me.

Then don't mount it that way! :) I'm not sure why it should "really" bother you, but to each his own.

On mine the end of the block is flush with the end of the rail. That puts the end of the deflector about 3/8" from the built-in deflector. I haven't been to the range with it yet, but I don't see any particular problem with the gap.
