Well our dear leader have decided what is best to protect us.

It includes one feature test on magazine fed semi auto riles.

Bans by name even more rifles

Bans the purchase or sale of standard capacity magazines

Includes grandfather of magazines, but they need to be registered(?)

Grandfathering of semi auto rifles but require registration

Back round checks for ammo purchases

The stateists feel this does not go far enough and consider this a poor compromise.

I cant wait to see the plan to implement this stuff.

How do you resister non serialized magazines?

I do find it ironic that they release this on April 1st...

Ammunition Eligibilty Certificate in CONN.

Part of their just past new law are the following,

AN AMMUNITION ELIGIBILITY CERTIFICATE.

Registering HIGH CAPACITY MAGAZINES.

A DANGEROUS OFFENDER WEAPONS REGISTRY.

Universal Background Checks.

A Ban on NEW High Capacity Magazines.

It's not law yet!!! But I think by the the end of next week the Idiots will pass it.:(I'm not very happy and am not sure if I will send all my over 10 rnd. mag.s out of state for safe keeping till I can get the heck out of this state in a few more years.
P/S I just ordered 3 10 rnd. mag.s for my CZ 75 Compact before they are sold out as the 14 & 16 rnd. are.

I for one feel much safer now.....

People in this need to wake up, its a sinking ship. The only thing laws like this do is drive working people and tax payers away. Its like turning off a few pumps that keep the ship floating. Its going to sink they are just speeding it up.

Soon it will just be government workers and the dependent class remaining in the state.

Oh, and an automated Amazon warehouse...

I Feel my state (Massachusetts) won't be to far behind, in passing new laws....God help us all...

I feel your pain Tom, it pretty much mirrors the NY law. Just reread the Bill, looks like CT makes the provisions immediate, at least NY gave one year to "register" all "assault" weapons.

I'm chomping on the bit to get the heck outta this area asap, heading to a solid red state.

Seems like someone should put together a anti gun control legislation protests on April 19th in Massachusetts, and elsewhere, as a reminder of another governments attempt at gun control and confiscation.

I may not be a "CT" Smith Fan much longer,The state government has lost it's collective mind. Punish legal gun owners while releasing dangerous felons early for "good behavior".

I sure like all of us crazies up here in Alaska!!! We get a little serious 'bout our guns and rights up here.............Seems like some places could fall right off the map without to much to worry about..........no offense meant to "non-sheeple" in any of the offending states.

Last time I checked LGS in Vermont do not inquire about the residency of someone purchasing ammo. So you folks in NY and Conn, come on up for the fishing, hunting, skiing, maple syrup (and ammo):).

Same in Maine...um...from what I hear...

Leaving CT for PA several years ago was one of the happiest days of my life.

First NY, now CT ... watch the rest of the Northeastern dominoes fall in quick succession. My money's on MA next, then NJ or RI.

Sorry about the news fellas. Good luck to all of you guys and
gals in the "crazy" states. I'm always looking for friends who shoot
here in "gun friendly Indiana". No stupidity going on here.
The Legislators seem to know where their bread gets buttered.
It's all a "Feel Good" moment for those idiots passing these dumb
laws. But it does absolutely nothing to deter maniacs from hurting
others when they are intent on doing so.

When I moved to Connecticut 40+ years ago, I was proud to live in a state that was home of Winchester, Lyman, Colt, Marlin, High Standard, and so many other great pillars of America's firearms culture. I am now embarrassed, not to mention outraged. I don't know how to fight what is going on here, having beseeched my elected officials no end. Just as Nazis used the burning of the Reichstag in 1933 as an excuse to suspend civil rights, so the Newtown massacre has become justification for tyranny in the name of security. But we all know the Ben Franklin saying, "Those who would give up Essential Liberty to purchase a little Temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety." I am heading to a free state as soon as I can escape the northeast.

It looks like the country is shaping up for another Civil War. Got to admit the South was wrong the first time. (but only on Slavery) This time we got it right and will win in the end. It's about states rights all over again so if you can, get out of the North and come stand for your rights. I honestly believe it's a lost cause for the "Communist States" up north. Call me extreme but I try to live in the world of reality. Let's hope the big gun manufacturers follow through and leave those states.

Connecticut is a small state. The entire population of over three million are within about an hour of Hartford. It's my understanding that there's about 16% of household with guns including 170,000 handgun permit holders.

Tell the boss you're sick, pick up the kids at school, pack a cooler and head to Hartford NOW. If there aren't hundreds of thousands of folks marching on the State Capitol building today then that tells me the gun owners of Connecticut have better things to do than protect their 2A rights.

Here's what the building looks like. Make your voices be heard. Go. If you don't... ain't nobody gonna do if for ya.
