Well - as for ownership - if fills in that awkward gap between .44 Spl./Mag. and .454 Casull.
And, growing up as a young gun-geek worshipping the writings of Elmer, learned it was THE go-to big game woods revolver for many years. Ol' Elmer shot through a few Elk with the cartridge properly loaded.
While I've not had the chance to take any deer with my 25-5, I have done so with a little Winchester 16" Trapper in .45 Colt and she does a stand-up job.
