How much did you pay for your M&P Shield?

Found a guy at a gun show selling 9mm for $415. He sold out before I got around to making up my mind about it, but he had more coming in, and since I waited he did $395 + tax ($418.70 OTD). Drove 120 miles to pick it up, but found another local shop with bullets and primers in stock and at normal prices, so it was more than worth the drive.

Prices in Milwaukee Wisconsin:

Gun Shop #1: $530.00 (tried to buy this one but it was gone in under 2 days of arriving to the shop)
Gun Shop #2: $629.00!! :-o

I got mine three days ago in a private sale, lightly used for $475.00
I feel very happy with the price I paid.

Got a call last night from one of the 10 gun shops I was on the list for a Shield. Going to pick it up today for $420.

I just held a .40 Shield in my hand yesterday at U.S.A. Liberty Arms in Fort Collins, CO. $450 + 7.35% tax.

Bill

$380 + tax. Had my name on a list for 9 months, picked it up last Nov. Price had gone up to 399 by then but they honored the original price point at the time of placing the deposit. I have a 9mm and oddly, I got 1 flush mount 9 mag and 1 .40 extended in the box. Never used the extended so never noticed the difference until 6 mos later.

My LGS got in two today both the 9mm's the 40's will be coming out later this month, both guns are already sold but one had not been picked up yet so I got to examine one of the nines. I am definitely gonna get a 40 as soon as they come in an also order a 9MM barrel from Smith & Wesson or Midway soon!

Also these guns sold for 419.00 plus sales tax and also the $10 background check! They were gonna try to pass a law that carry permit holders would not have to even have the background check but it was shot down in the legislature last year!

Really hate when a dealer thinks he can use my gun for a display model. If I'm paying for it before it gets delivered, it my property and I don't want it dry fired and racked a hundred times. I won't handle a gun the owner isn't handing me. Guess I'm uptight. So much value is placed on condition I want to be the "guy who did it" when I see the finish scraped off my new gun.

$449.00 at one of the Tourist Machine Gun hot spots in Las Vegas. I just moved to Las Vegas. (M&P Shield 9mm)

Called a LGS for the hell of it and was told they just had a person cancel their order, they had two 9mm left, got it for $399.00 plus tax.

$450.00 around here + tax. Waiting for price drop.

I don't know where you are in PA, but its the same in Philly suburbs. At least 5 stores were selling them for $440 to $450, its either that or they don't have them in stock. Most are only the .40, and its real hard to find the 9mm. I recently decided to get the .40, since all I own is 9mm and .45 anyway.

Then there is the "well known" store and indoor gun range in my area that has both the 9mm and the .40 Shield in stock, for $560 each.

I ended up ordering one off of Gunbroker last week, just picked it up today. $459 out the door between cost of gun, 2 day shipping and FFL transfer fee. Feel like I didn't do too horribly on it considering they are next to impossible to find and usually priced around that plus tax when they are in stock locally.

Just got my Shield 40 yesterday. Ended up ordering it off of Gunbroker. 380 for the gun + 25 Shipping and 25 in transfer fees so i'm sitting at 430 out the door on mine. Price was actually better then i could have gotten anywhere locally in my area.

Still hard to find in my area, I was on 2 waiting lists telling me it could take up to 6 months. Walked into Fleet Farm and the had one sitting in the case at $424. Needless to say I now own a Shield.

Saw a 9mm Shield at the local Farm & Barn about 2 weeks ago for $429. Also saw a .40 at another LGS for $429. Good to see others having an opportunity to get one!

We were selling them at the gun show today for $425. They are easy to get now. We order them, & they arrive in a few days. GARY

Got my Shield 40 on-line at GunBroker.com. Paid $390 + $22 shipping. With FFL fee of $25, I'm out the door at $437. Had it in my hand within 5 days. Waitlists at LGS's are still long here in TX!

419 + tax at my LGS in Ohio. I wasn't on a waiting list and they said this was the first 9mm to make it to the display cabinet in a very long time. They had finally filled the orders that people had been waiting on.

Yesterday i got a .40 at the gunshow for $400 +tax and police check, $430 total. Saw another for the same price at another dealer.

You couldn't find one this past year, but now I have seen several at LGS, for prices ranging from $439 to $500. Gunbroker has one now for $380 + 25 shipping. At least they are becoming more available.
