Show us your 44s. Any and all brands.

On the left is the old 624 (the one in my avatar) It wouldn't win any beauty contest but it is a great shooter!

On the right is my Lew Horton 24-3. It just might win a beauty contest and it is also a great shooters. Both of these are well weighted and well balanced and manage perceived recoil very nicely. I like to compare shooting a N-fram Smith and Wesson .44 spl to burping a new born baby. :D

I love posting these every chance I get. I sure hope y'all don't get tired of lookin' at 'em. :)

What are those amazing grips on the blued Ruger ??
Outstanding !!

Chuck

Chuck- Those are made of "Spalted Maple". It basically is maple, or other woods with a lot of mineralization. usually soft, they are impregnated with resin under pressure so they become stable. Bought em off ebay back when the 50th anniversary flat top first came out, don't remember the maker, but there are several out there using this material.

Jiminy, I wonder what would have happened if you had asked everyone to show their .357s?

Bullet Bob-
I LIKE that 5" Classic. I bought one as soon as they came out, but had a ton of trouble with cases getting stuck from even mild loads, so like a fool I traded it off figuring to replace it with another one sooner or later. Funny thing about that figuring thing........

To top that off, I never figured that it would only be in production for such a short period of time due to the fact that the full lug barrels were really starting to be the wave of the future. The issue with my gun became widely known and was fixed quickly by S&W. The problem was that they were using undersized throats since their testing had shown them that .427-428" throats was giving better accuracy even though it went against conventional wisdom. I could have simply had the throats reamed for almost nothing and solved the problem had I known that was the issue at the time. You have no idea how many times i have beat the **** out of myself over getting rid of that gun. Some day, I hope to replace it:).
