Made a little drive back in the 90s, from Houston to San Antonio. Ate at a place called Mia Tierra's (sp) in the market. It might be a tourist place but they served the best breakfast I have ever eaten. Took in a show up at the Gruene Hall in Gruene, (sp) Then over to Fredirck, past the YO ranch bypassed Austin and back to Houston.
Luv that Texas cookin.....We gonna need some brand new jeans.
Mi Tierra is kind of touristy, but still very dependable. I used to prefer Karam's, but they closed down sometime back. My folks like a place called La Posada Del Norte, & it is pretty good. They lost their lease some time ago, but rumor has it they will be back up & running, maybe around Thanksgiving. There's just a lot of excellent TexMex food in San Antonio!
