Alright, we've done ghosts and reincarnation. How about time travel. This to me is just as fascinating and baffling a subject as the other two subjects.

A very good movie that falls in this category is not a new movie and it's kind of a chick-flick but it has a strong cast and is a fascinating concept for a story line. Title is "Somewhere In Time: staring Christopher Reeve, Jane Seymore, and Christopher Plummer.

Back in 1981 I bought a Datsun 280ZX instead of a Delorean, so never got to do the time travel thing. Oh well. :o

Time travel? Who?

Well, seems to me, that if you could travel forward, the time you were going to must already exist, otherwise you're going to appear into nothingness. If it already exists, that means that the future exists at all times. If the entire future exists, surely someone would have invented time travel and there would be TT machines popping up all the time from all those people from the future wanting to visit the past.
Time travel to the past might be possible, but only as far as the technology exists. That means, if TT were invented today, for forevermore, you could only go back to today.

We already have time travel, it just doesn't work in reverse. It's called a shower! You step in with the notion of going 5 minutes ahead in time and coming out clean, only to end up 10-15 more than you'd planned.

Well, thanks for crapping on a really promising thread.

I won't be born for another three hundred years. I'm using Google Time Machine.

Interesting possiblity

Time travel is an interesting possibility but I hold out of for alternate planes of existence.

In a similar vein, has anybody every contemplated what forever could be in both directions.... forward and backward?

Time is natures way of keeping everything from happening at once.

We are all travelling through time. You have just travelled about 4 seconds into the future since you started reading this post.

I have and it seems probable, but it takes a higher power out of the picture.

Can a Renault powered Delorean actually get up to 88mph? Or is this time travel business like the moon landing? (wink, wink, nudge, nudge.)

I travel to grouse season when I hear a grouse drumming when I'm
on the trout stream in the spring.

And back to trout season when I run across a nice trout stream when
grouse hunting.

Does that count?

An oldie, but a goodie...........

Run into a small store or up to a group of people. Loudly ask "What is today's date?"
When someone answers, throw your hands up and yell "IT WORKED!" Then run away. :D

You're a terrible person to even think of doing such a thing to innocent strangers! I really admire that quality. :D:D
