3.5" Pre-27 Class A Pinto "BLING"

Hi Richard,

very nice guns.

Paul from Germany SWCA #1354

ps. Happy new year.

Very nice, I don't recall seeing (or remembering seeing) engraving on the rib/sight base before.

I would consider that too pretty to shoot, and would not invest in such a gun, but damn is it a looker!

Richard,
I have been sitting here staring at your post hitting the "like" button continuously for 15 minutes!! One "like" is just NOT enough!! All of the guns are spectacular.

Is the engraver the same for all 3 guns? Are the grips factory? If they are, I did not know they did ivory inlays. I would love to know the original cost of each one from the '50s. The return on the original investment would be immeasurable to me. Thanks for sharing.

Perfect

Now my 3 1/2" -2 looks like a ****.

I used to love that gun , then I saw yours! :o

Outstanding collection!

Twig.

"Stunning" comes to mind. Those guns look like fine jewelry with their contrasting blue & gold presentation. Thanks much for the eyeful,

Jerry

OH MY GOSH -- Now my collection looks like the junk bin behind my local gun smith's work bench. These are absolutely incredible.

I’ve admired those guns since I first saw them posted.

The way I read the Rex Firearms ad, they are advertising a Pinto that has BLUE barrel and cylinder and NICKEL frame.

So, that means the OP needs to find another one to complete his collection. ? ;)

These are likely the tip of the iceberg of the fascinating S&W’s that were shipped to Rex.

Thanks for sharing those, RKmesa, they are beauties!

I wish I had a time machine. I would dial up 1956 and go look at the Rex Firearms Gun Case!! Can you imagine a few dozen of these stunners in the same store?

Read farther down in the ad. The revolver pictured in ad is a pre 27 3.5 engraved. The fourth star advertises these.

Thanks.

Not trying to “ding” the ad versus the incredible guns displayed by the OP.

Simply pointing out that in addition to the guns displayed, there would be the additional variation of the Nickel frame/Blue barrel & cylinder.

Anyone have one of these to share?
