Had this one on my List for Awhile…Finally Found it and brought her Home to WI.. What really intrigues me about this one is the Coke Bottle Grips…I believe it Shipped from the Factory with these…If you look at the bottom of the Box it say Gon Alv St…Or something to that Affect…Plus they Fit like a Glove almost looked Fitted to the Revolver…Letter Request is Already on the Way to Roy..

This 4 Screw 5 Inch 27 No Dash also Has a Target Trigger, Target Hammer, White Outline, and a Red Ramp front sight…Very neat Features on a revolver…

This one Shipped June 1960 and I have the Box, Tools, & Docs…I usually collect just the 3.5 Inchers, but really like the balance and Feel of a 5 inch N Frame, So I added a Pre 27 5 Inch and a No dash 5 inch…Now back to the 3.5 Inchers…

Thanks for Looking…

My non expert guess would be a buyer requested full target options and somebody on the line grabbed the wrong stocks. Instead of taking a set from the bin of wood for the 27 he dug out a set from the M29 bin. Good for you unless the seller was savvy and charged you extra.

Thing looks like new. Too good for the likes of me.

yep...My thoughts Exactly...Sure Hoping the Letter says the same...Or GA Target Stocks...I would take Either...

Only thing that would make me wonder is during that time, it was usually big stocks / little logo, big logo / little stocks. But as we know, nothing was ever a sure thing with S&W. I'm sure that those cokes are GA tho.

Man that thing is purdy!!!!!!!

I didnt know that...That is Good to know...

Well, I don't think remarked the box is all that unusual. The fact that they chose a box that it fits in is an indication that it may have shipped with those stocks. But the logo....I guess what I'm saying is I wouldnt be surprised either way.
Only thing Im sure of it's a gorgeous revolver that anyone would be proud to own. :)

I had always heard that Cokes were limited to use on the.44 Mags. Last summer, I ran into a mid-1950s pre-27 that also had a pair of Cokes on it. The seller swore (for whatever that's worth) that they were original to the gun. Anyway, we couldn't get together on a price.

I don't think the small logo is seen often on the Model 27 or Pre-27. It was common on the Pre-Model 24 with a 4-inch barrel and target stocks.

Like Lowrider, I wondered if it fits in the box. The boxes are usually a tight fit and I don't think it would fit in a box intended for gun with magnas.
