What tv show do you watch, should be ashamed to admit it, but arent?

Similarly....

I'm of American Indian descent and as I understand it I'm supposed to be outraged at racial stereotypes but I find FTroop hilarious.
The Hackawi Indians had me laughng out loud.
It's kinda sad that in todays politically correct world there'll never be another show like it.

Similarly, quite of few of the Germans in 'Hogans Heroes' were Jewish. They said they enjoyed making fun of them.

Can't say I watch anything I'm ashamed to confess to--damn sure not ashamed to say I love the old Loony Tunes stuff, pre-1958.

I guess the nearest to being embarrassing would be "Robot Chicken" and "Squidbillies". :D

No apologies for "Futurama" or occasionally "Family Guy". Never really got too fired up over "The Simpsons".

My bad habit is watching shows over and over. Documentaries, "The First 48", "River Monsters" and other nature shows, and so on.

Im that way on a lot of stuff I have on DvD. I can watch most of it over and over again. Right now, I have probably a years worth of DvDs ive bought and havent watched yet for one reason or another. Im currently working on season 1 of: The Twilight Zone. I cant wait to finish it so I can start on some of the Western tv series bought recently.

My favorite current show is "Sons of Anarchy" which is decidedly not general family fare...I don't see how they can top last season, but I'll be watching to find out!

Haven't you kept up with the story about the Amish guy (Samuel Mullet) that said other Amish people weren't living right, so he told his sons to go around and cut other men's beards off? To the Amish, that is an awful thing to do, besides being physical assault. Usually the Amish handle squabbles themselves, but the court system had to get involved and they ended up in jail?? The Amish have a real underworld ring going.

Uh...what?

Perhaps you mean to quote the guy who mentioned the Amish Mafia? I've never seen that show, so I guess you could say I haven't kept up! :p

A show I watch but probably shouldn't is My Name Is Earl. While it is hilarious it is also full of cussing, unfaithfulness to spouses, racism, etc., they do it in a way that is shockingly funny.

IMOO Randy makes the show.

Because of my son....

My bad habit is watching shows over and over. Documentaries, "The First 48", "River Monsters" and other nature shows, and so on.

Thanks to my son I have about every episode of 'River Monsters' memorized. He has always watched some shows repeatedly. He could spout rapid fire Looney Tune banter from memory. When he was small his favorite was "Dinosaur" about the dinosaur that survives the extinction and ends up living with a pack of Lemurs. I think we watched that every night for 2-3 years.:(

I have only an antenna and get only a few channels. I watch "Days of Our Lives" every day and sometimes "The Young and The Restless". It is humiliating I suppose, but I'm admitting to it and now I feel so much better for sharing my choices of viewing pleasure. My grand Daughter likes them too but my Wife thinks we are both crazy. What does she know?
Peace,
Gordon

The only Soap I ever got sort of into--was the one that had some of the original Star Trek cast in it as well as the one that had Phuk Carey in it. Id see him and be reminded of many westerns. I tried watching the one that had Hans Gudegast (Eric Braeden) because I was always reminded of COMBAT and The Rat Patrol.

Here's one to admit, I haven't watched it in a long time but 'Spongebob Squarepants' could be irritating and stupid, but it could be hilarious at times.

The funniest shows had Ernest Borgnine and Tim Conway voicing a couple of retired 'Aquaman'-type superheroes. In the last episode they were in a nursing home. I swannee I could have peed in my pants laughing.:):):)

uhhhhh.... that was Mermaid Man & Barnacle Boy! ;)

Wasn't there a remake of leave it to Beaver in the late 80s?

There was, and I think it was called: Still the Beaver. I barely recall it and thought it ok--but not the same without Hugh Beaumont--who died years earlier.

It's real..

The story about Samuel Mullet and his sons feuding other Amish people is a true story and was in the news for about a year or so until the story played out with the trial and everything. All of them said that if they had to do it all over again, they'd do the same thing again.

I wasn't around for the original one but I vaguely remember the remake and later, as a kid, seeing the black and white thinking why we're some in color and others not

What happened to my post?????

The New Leave it To Beaver was a TV series, Still The Beaver was a TV movie. In it Beaver can't get his life together. June keeps visiting Ward's grave and says, "Ward, I'm worried about the Beaver." The last scene in the movie is June visiting the grave and saying, "Ward, I'm not worried about the Beaver any more."

I don't care what anybody says about real family life never being like the show with patient Ward and June in a dress all the time. But what "Leave it to Beaver" captured was how kids thought about things and got it across really well. I think it was great.

I couldnt remember which was what, but I do remember one of them did have several of the original cast members. I remember that Larry, Lumpy and Eddie made appearances as well as Judy. The two that didnt--were Whitey Whitney and Stanley "Tiger" Fafara. They both died early on--I think from drugs.

I dont remember much of the movie or series. I guess when the movie was on, there must have been a War or Western movie on and well, they took priority. :D

I wouldn't admit this to any of my church friends, but I'll come clean here. "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" is my second favorite show, after Seinfeld. It's sick, twisted, and completely politically incorrect, but it makes me laugh out loud. Danny DeVito has spent his career practicing for the character he plays on Sunny, and the other four actors on the show are hilarious also.

We watched whatever was on having only 3 broadcasting stations wiith Fox comming a little later. PBS didn't really count. Some of the shows I enjoyed were The Paper Chase and Room 222 with a young Karen Valentine. Don't remember much of what it all about but remember watching it for her. Some comedy shows I enjoyed; Love American Style and Get Smart.

Favorites were any SciFi show; Star Trek to Buck Rodgers in the 25th Century to the early 50's late night movies. Today, reruns of Chuck, Eureka!, House and Psych.

Once upon a time in America "we" weren't so thin skinned and understood satire for what it was. I don't believe any of those old shows were mean spirited. What they did was celebrate our diversity.
