Today is National Puppy Day!

This was Ziva when I got her 4 years ago last November:

And here she is now at just over 5 yrs old:

I've lived with Rottweilers for over twenty-seven years now...females often seem like a different breed to me. My Annie is incredibly laid back 98% of the time, but just let a stranger approach the house and she morphs into Annie the Warrior Queen. My old girl, Alex, was the same way. My girls have lived to be touched by a kind and loving hand...just don't be someone who looks threatening.

Your girl Ziva is beautiful.

They are beautiful dogs! And I don't know where 7600' is, but I wish I was there with my dogs, playing in the fresh snow!

Thanks!

Southern tip of Wyoming's Wind River Range. As soon as the snow stopped falling the temp jumped to 45 (F) and the sun came out. Been out digging out the truck and clearing the 50' path to the gate before the stuff turns to concrete. Good work out.

Here's our two: Lucy the dapple and Gretchen the black and tan
with white feet.

Here's Country Girl the (Piebald black and tan) watching the pups closely.

Chuck

These photos made me grin really really big. I don't believe I've ever seen a puppy that isn't cute, have you?

Country Girl looks a bit...um-m-m...hefty, though, doesn't she? Is that post-partum weight gain? Love the expression on her face!

I would love to get another female rottie. My last one was a gentle giant.
When she passed she took a piece of my heart with her. When the misses walked her and my black lab no one could get near the wife. When the rottie barked the house shook. When she was outside the FedEx guy pushed the packages out the trucks window. Her size and look scared everyone but she was so gentle.

My GSD three puppy shots and one grown. No matter how cute they are they all eventually grow up. So know what the traits of your dog are before you buy a cut little puppy. It is difficult to find a puppy that is not cute. I think it is a survival mechanism! LOL

Be sure you can handle the adult before you buy the cute puppy.

Both too big for their britches now.

I love these photographs. There is a sweetness and simplicity to them that's very real. You can see the bond between them...the love and trust. It looks to be a match made in Heaven.

Interestingly enough, the puppy is marked like my Rottweilers.

Thanks for posting these.

Coincidentally adopted thes two handsome boys yesterday. Both are doxies, Rasco is a wheaton wirehair and Franky is a piebald.

Kudos to you for adopting them. I hope they have long and happy lives with you.
