Looking at the two models on Amazon, both look to fit the Shield with the PPS having to ability to rotate. I've never owned a Fobus so can't recommend any of them.

I would stay from forbus unless you just want a holster to use at a range.
IMO they don't make quality products. Every holster maker makes Shield holsters. There are a lot of quality makers

I have the cobra gunskin shelby king of the range holster. I love it.

IWB OWB ???

Go with leather or Kydex or leather backing with kydex shell.

Stay away from molded plastic

You don't have to spend a fortune to get quality.

Look at Foxx Holsters ot Alien Gear or Bravo Concealment

IWB look at Multi Holster. There are many kydex holsters and then there is Multi Holster. Fantastic fit and finish. I love mine.
OWB look at Zlogonje Leather very nice pancake for $72.00

I was in the same boat as you not to long ago. I ended up going with Alien Gear and have been very happy.

Wild Bill's Concealment "Fusion Paddle Holster" (OWB) is what I use with my Shield. Used one with a Glock 23 before I retired. They also make holster belts and other types of holsters. Good quality and comfortable. Easy on and off.

They are out of NC and have a website.

Wright Leather Works. Top notch leather, fit and finish. Not cheap and be prepared to wait while they build it. I chose the "Predator" OWB model. Best holster I've ever had, and I've been around awhile. Google them.

I'd never heard of WLW until someone on this forum recommended them.

check out Don Hume "JIT" slide holster. I use this on my Shield and Kahr, both hold the firearm tight to my body, and is comfortable..

Another vote for Wright Leather Works. I have two of their "Predators" and even after three years, the fit and retention are still spot on. No one beats their workmanship and quality.

I am looking for a IWB holster. Not sure leather is the way to go. Any thoughts and opinions are helpfull.

I suggest Alien Gear, IWB Mod 3. Affordable, guaranteed, functional, comfortable, no break-in period. I've had mine almost three years for my Shield .40 S&W. Check out their products. They are a great company and stand behind their products 100%. Free shells for the holster. Drop by their website. Alien Gear Holsters.
