Let's see your EDC

The extra mag isn't usually for fear of running out of ammo. It's because the most likely cause of a malfunction is mag related so the spare is to use if the first one fails for any reason. And for many of us the knife is more of a task oriented item then a defensive weapon though in a pinch it can serve that role as well.

Your point has validity. With that said, I put 500 rds through a single mag with the pistol before even considering it reliable. I have the utmost confidence in my carry pistol and mag.

As another posted, in a civilian self defense situation, the ammo in your mag and pistol are your primary for the defense and the fight duration fairly short. Law enforcement however, is a different category all together. Changing mag during a firefight gives the attacker time to return fire.

One of these, depending on the day of the week.

Both on days I'm at work. Just the 640 on my days off. Speed strip or two in the pocket. Wallets and phone (I don't carry flat badge in same wallet as my money). Use a Lobo Gun Leather off-set holster for the 640 for appendix carry.

90% of the time my LEOSA carry. Cs9 in sticky holster in cargo shorts. ( I'm retired!!!!) Two refills with wife's hair tye to keep them together in off pocket. Cs9 up dated polished ramp, mag safety disengaged, side red dot updated to Traffic Cone Orange to match my revolvers front site. Ashley 24-7 big dot sights. Shoulder patch from my misspent youth thrown in.

Just curious:

1. What are those grips?
2. Why do you have the mags fastened together? Just so it acts like one object? What does that do for a reload time?
Original issue grips. Many don't like them. They work great for me. Of course running K&L frame wheelguns in the 70's& 80's with rubber grips makes me immune to rubber hate.
As a LEO firearms instructer I taught intermediate students to run a qual course with a handicap to Raise the stress level. Example start a timed run with weapon not charged, duds in magizines, ect. This enhanced trouble fixing abilities on the run. Pay back was the old man had to run one . One student set me up with half of a 50 round qual with duds and one mag with two duds.
Now the answer. Mags together to make one lump in front pocket. Not recommended as under stress minor moter skills go away but
With the training and experience I've been lucky enough to have, grabbing one and stripping it out of the rubber band is not an issue. My issue is 60 year old eyes. Three dot sights are a blur. The big dot is a comfort

bmcgilvry,
If you don't mind me asking, who made your holster? I have been thinking of carrying my 4" model 10 more often, and trying to decide on a iwb holster for it.

Since buying this revolver I have not carried anything else.
It is a Ruger LCR 357 with a Talon canted holster which is made for the LCR. I carry this gun and holster in my front pocket. Very comfortable and easy access also. The trigger is awesome.

Nice little revolver! Six shot? I just looked it up. It is a 5-shot.
