Commercials that turn you off from buying what they're selling

Commercials for Liberty Mutual car insurance are the most irritating for me.
Yes, especially since I had to leave them last year because they raised my rates 40% for being a 15 year, no claims customer. Ended up with another annoying TV advertiser- GEICO. At least GEICO quit with the super stupid caveman commercials.

Allowing the owner or sales manager of a car dealership or used car operation to do his own commercials should be a hanging offense.

"The Phillips lady" should be towed out to sea and left there.

ALL commercials sponsored by pharmaceutical companies offend me. Without exception.

And for weeks, twice a year during the enrollment periods, I'm bombarded with endless spots pushing Medicare supplement plans which I can't afford. Absolutely maddening.

Yes, those commercials for pharmaceutical products, especially one for ED, etc. But 20 years of no TV has spared me a lot...
Year ago my mother cut out a Ziggy cartoon which I still have on the icebox.
It shows Ziggy on a psychiatrist's couch, the shrink is telling him:
"Don't let it bother you. Nobody gets as much fun out of life as the people in the beer commercials."

Many, many......years ago I enjoyed the Hamms ads, from the land of sky blue waters! Early animation. Then the Budweiser horse ads, very entertaining. But what they make off of me from these ads is nothing except tickling my funny bone.
Of course Wily Coyote, Roadrunner, Donald Duck, Chip and Dale, Mickey Mouse, Foghorn Leghorn, etc. In the old original animation style are favorites! Notice the common theme, animals doing funny things. Maybe it did warp me as claimed by sociologists, but was simple, colorful, honest use of imagination!

All of them. If they had decent products they would not need to spend millions to sell the product. Take Apple computers as an example, they did very little advertising but until recently made very successful products.

Smith and Wesson made their reputation on quality product at one time.

Most of the commercials are really stupid. But some of the standouts for me:

Chevrolet is still talking about their safety feature that mutes the radio until you fasten your seatbelt.

Those drug commercials. I think I will take the advice of my doctor over some ad-man.

The vast majority of the fast food ads.

The list goes on...

It's enough to make me wish we could have the UK's BBC here. No commercials and the programs that have made over here are usually far better than the US produced programs.

Any car commercial talking about it's in their "genes" or "DNA" (?).

Plants have DNA, animals have DNA, Bacteria have DNA, Molds and fungi have DNA even most viruses have DNA. Cars DO NOT!

I particularly detest Internet "pop up" commercials like the ones we're inundated with on this forum. I have NEVER in my life bought anything from one of these commercials and for the most part manage to ignore them. I hit the mute button when commercials come on TV.

I liked the ones with Hannah Davis. Don't remember what the commercials were for.

I agree with all the drug commercials as a turn off. One would be better off to live with the ailment than put up with all the side affects. Depressed? Take this. It may cause your testicles to fall off or suicidal tendencies.
