What do you do with your magazines?

I've suddenly reached the stage where I have so many semi auto pistols that it's hard to keep track of all the magazines! How do you keep track of and store your mags? My safe has Velcro on the door, and I'm considering using some sort of bags with labels on them, but if someone has better ideas, I'd love to hear them!

Ive only about 25 or so-so non-issue. They are all .22, 9mm, and .45.

Most are for my Baretta 92, 1911s and my Walther P-38.

I use the Plano plastic tackle boxes with movable dividers. Smith and HS mags in one and Sig and Colt in another, etc.

I posted this solution a while back - a good way to use some old VHS cases. I keep them on top of the safe mostly - you have to remove the little hubs from the inside in most cases.

I do the same, although I don't print fancy labels.

Edit: Wonder why the picture's upside down?

Probably the same reason my dog's picture is sideways. :)

6 plastic bins of appropriate size for 9mm single stack,9mm double stack,40S&W single stack,40S&W double stack,10mm, & 45ACP.
And a list

I mark them all in my range bag I keep them separate by caliber the extra mags I keep in the plastic boxes like from Plano and I mark the outside so I know what box has what they stack nicely and most are water proof at least the one's I buy are so if any accidental water problem not a issue. The marker I use is white so shows up nicely and takes a good while before you have to reapply...

Consider marking the base with one of those carbide tipped, vibrating marking tools. A little white nail polish in the holes makes the model number show up.

I should be so organized. I have knack for putting them in safe places so as to never see them again for months or years.

I haven't owned a P220 for at least 15 years and every year or so I run onto another magazine for one. I take em to work and give them to the guy I work with. He carries one.

I went for a reduced number of mags! All 45ACP in my house must use 220 Sig mags or 1911 mags. I sold or traded 11 auto loaders to make everything use these two mags. Then the problem was I had 18 autos in 45 ACP, but they shot different ammo to the sights. So I standardized my ammo as 230 Hydra-shok, which left one 1911 to get rid of (it shot Win STHP's to the sights). So, I ended up with a total of 17 45ACP autos (and 2 revolvers) that all shot the same ammo and used one of two different mags. The base of a 220 mag is very different than a 1911 mag, so in the dark you can tell the difference!
