First CZ, a special one

Whereas this may be your first CZ, I can assure you that it will NOT be your only CZ....
I have 7 of them and they keep calling out to me, just like 3rd Gen S&W's!!

Yes, this. I have a list of CZ:s I want just like my list of future S&W:s.

Don't pass up a cz83 & cz82 also. When I look at these and the cz50 & cz70 I wonder how the cz52 got so butt ugly after the cz50?

With most doing trade ins lately for plastic pistols we might find a good buy on a used cz pistol.

Would love to get a CZ in 9mm but no one around here sells them. So had to settle for a CZ82 in 9mm mak. Accurate little pistol. Frank

I wish someone around here would sell me one of those. It would fill the glaring gap in my modest array of CZs. Does your seller have any more? I'll be in NOLA for nine days in April.

83 and 82 on my want list and CZ 52 as well!

Decided to try the CZ 75b. It's got an impeccable reputation and served well for many militaries.

Found this NIB CZ 75b that features a matte stainless sides with a blasted finish on the top and bottom. Came with the cocobolo grip panels.

I like the ergonomics on this one. Compared to my Beretta 92, it's very sleek and thin.

Anyone else a fan of the CZ75b? Any advice or comments? Thanks

Nice CZ you have there! I am a fan, but never owned 1! I keep buying darn clones of them. They were all good shooting guns though. The latest, is a IWI Jericho in .40. Love the way it performs. It was an un-issued military/ police gun. Not a mark on it. Bob

I have a cz85db which is a amberdexterious cz75. I feel it's the best 9mm pistol today. I'm glad I waited till I really found one that impressed me.

Both my CZ 75B stainless and CZ 85 Combat are ambidextrous. I shoot mainly left hand.

I'm torn. The only thing stopping me from buying more CZ:s is my need for a few more S&W revolvers and money. If I only won the Powerball!

The one from the website may be an Omega. It's a newer design trigger that CZ markets as better, but that some say is just cheaper for CZ to build.

I like the OP's gun better.

The older pre-Omega is all I have experienced, but after thorough breaking in with snap caps, laser cartridge drills and live fire my trigger is nice and smooth. I've read negative thing about the Omega and some positive. Try one if it interests, but my desire for CZ:s is similar to my desire for S&W, the older more classic. Out of the newer CZ:s the all metal RAMI is something I'd like, but only the plastic version is ambidextrous.

I prefer the Beretta grip because it's slightly thicker but it's not really a deal breaker.

I've owned several CZs. 75 compact, P07, 85 (which is an ambidextrous 75) and now the striker fired P10C. The only one I'm keeping is the P10C, all others have been sold long ago.

They were good guns but there were things that bothered me a bit with all of them. At the time I got the P07 there were no holsters for it and this was the early batch that had issues with mags binding inside the magwell and some had frame swelling. I'm not a patient man, nor am I brand loyal, I can just as easily like another gun.

Both the 75 compact and the 85 had heavy DA triggers and the thin/narrow and short (top to bottom) slides made it difficult to slingshoot the slide. But what really bothered me was their inconsistent DA trigger pull. Some were smoother than others but they all hit a wall. It was not a smooth pull all the way through. There was a little take up then a wall. I just can't get over that. Otherwise they are good guns

I suggest that every cz owner gets a spare slide stop.
That is the weak spot of the gun.

I need to buy a few slide stops. So far no issues though, but have heard this previously.

I have shot My sp01 shadow about 5000 rounds and still original slide stop. And heard stories about +10000 shot cz's without breaking slide stop.
Still suggest getting a spare one just in cause.
The tac sport comes with 3 slide stops from the factory ;)

Big tip, get a Laserlyte cartridge and practice the double action pulls. Helps the trigger. My 85 Combat was not fully broken in even though it was older than my 75. Both triggers are about the same now.

Just noticed it has the straight beavertail instead of the upswept.

I was under the impression that the upswept beavertail is the newer design and allows for a higher grip closer to bore axis.

The matte 75B I posted is the classic action. All the Omega 75s have the 75 B suffix Greek Omega letter on the slide.

Out of the newer CZ:s the all metal RAMI is something I'd like, but only the plastic version is ambidextrous.

I'm pretty sure there are no plastic versions of the RAMI, only Aluminum. There used to be RAMI P (Plastic) versions, but they were discontinued years ago because the frame bulged.

There are some nice CZ's here. The OP's looks good in the matt stainless with the wood grips. The 2 tone guns look great. Recently bought the Kadet off gun Broker and like it a lot. Need one more magazine if someone has an extra one to sell.

Someone at the club has a CZ 97 and it's also nice. Before I'd buy another 1911, the 97 would be my next .45. Larry

I'm begging to the CZ gods that they come out with a CZ 75 compact single stack.

The gun is so ergonomic that I enjoy just holding it in the hand. It really does feel like it was molded for my exact hand.

My observations: It's a little smaller than my Colt 1991, and has a grip that feels just as ergonomic as the 1911. Yet, there are 16 rounds in that grip rather than 7 bigger ones.

It's roughly the same size and weight as my S&W 539, which is a single stack 9mm.

It really feels and handles like a much more compact pistol, even though on paper, the dimensions make it seem like a big pistol.
