I don't own one, but years ago I had a roommate who bought one. I loaded up some ammo and helped him shoot it up. It was a real nice shooter.
Smith 1066. Underwood ammo. Extremely accurate and powerful combo.

If you need a "practical" aspect it's hard to beat as a woods toting gun for defense against things two and four legged in the lower 48. Plenty of power and fully stoked you've got 16 to put down range before it needs a recharge of ammo. Since it's the same size as a 21 more then plenty of a selection of holsters and mag holders.

If I could buy one in the commiewealth for $500 I'd rip my pocket off pulling out my wallet. I don't need a 10mm either..but that would be my choice for one as well. Even with a crappy 10 round mag.

I have a Glock 20. Great gun. Its light weight and totally reliable. It never jams and it shoots straight. There is absolutely nothing wrong with it except for one thing. Its BORING!!!! It is pretty much the same thing thing as every other plastic gun out there. It does what it is supposed to do extremely well. I will keep it forever.
I also have a Colt 1860 Army. Holds only a third as many rounds. At 25 yards it shoots about 4 inches high and to the right. After about 50 shots it is so dirty that it just won't work anymore until you clean it. And cleaning can be a chore. Misfires are fairly frequent. Also have a Walker. Same thing with the added benefit of double the weight and when you fire the loading lever drops and jams it up half the time.
I shoot the cap and ball guns a lot more than the Glock. They are just a lot more fun.
If you want something useful, get the Glock. If you want something fun, get something else. But then Glocks are dirt cheap. So just get one anyway.

Yes, two. DW Razorback, mostly for the visual aesthetics of the gorgeous piece, and G29, because the 10mm cartridge as loaded by Underwood to 775 ft-lbs of muzzle energy has significantly more kinetic muzzle energy than the .45 Super.

I have two Glock 20s and they are great guns......I have a stash of vintage Norma that I am slowly exhausting. I also have a Delta. The Delta is for show and the Glocks for go......if you can get a G20 for 500 bucks go for it. You won't regret it.

I've read that the Danish govt. issues Glock 10 mm's to personnel who may encounter polar bears in Greenland, a Danish territory.

10mm Glocks are the most interesting and cool guns they make.
That said, right now police depts are dumping their Glock 21 .45s and going back to 9mm. You can get a stronger spring and shoot 45 Super in a Glock 21 and have 10mm-ish fun while saving almost $200.
Bonus - you can also shoot .45 ACP in it!

I have 4 10mm, S&W 1006,1066,4013 conversion, Sig 220. Hoping to pick up a 1076 at next week's gun show. After that I think a Delta Elite is in order. There is getting to be a lot more 10 mm ammo available, I even saw 2 boxes of 10mm Black Talons at a recent show.

You can also drop a Glock 20 barrel or a 10mm barrel from Lone Wolf (along with 10mm mags) into a Glock 21 and shoot 10mm. I've fired about 1500 rounds of 10mm that way and it works fine. I have five 10mm's and like 'em all. Wouldn't be without at least a couple of them.
I'd get one myself except I have 10 covered with a Glock 29SF. I bought an aftermarket barrel with conventional rifling for shooting cast. Also went to a stiffer than factory RSA.
Only trouble with a semi in a boutique cartridge is policing the brass. It gets thrown a long ways.

YOu can drop in a 10 mm barrel + 10 mm mag and shoot 10 mm from it. I have done that and did not have any pronblems. While ok for target shooting, would not use it for s/d.

Been shooting it since the round was introduced, currently have a half dozen 1911's in 10 and several Glocks. The Glock 20 is my edc, 200 gr JHP's or 180's. My Glocks are first gen guns and they have served me well. IMO the 10mm cartridge is one of the best overall pistol cartridges ever produced.

Owned a Glock 20. Sold the Glock 20. Recently had an opportunity to buy a Glock 40 MOS for under $600 but didn't.
Here's my problem. Most 10mm range ammo is downloaded to 40sw but costs more. Don't want to pay for the same caliber again and then some. Full house 10mm is only made by a few companies but I don't see myself shooting that at the range so it again comes down to paying more and twice (40sw + 10 loaded to 40sw) to shoot at the range.
I know some people talk about using it in the woods, on hikes. When it comes to that I don't go often and when I do I bring a completely different firearm
