Down the YouTube UFO rabbit hole !!

For faster than light travel, the answer may lie in Einstein's "spooky action at a distance," i.e., ******* entanglement. (Can't correctly spell "kwantum?" Pharr out!)

I seen an interesting theory some time ago, purporting that the "aliens" are actually time travelers from our future.

I think the likelihood of other life forms in the universe is pretty much a certainty. Can they travel here? I'm not smart enough say but I think there is much that we don't know and much we know that may be wrong.

Maybe they found a worm hole. [emoji1]

If they are capable of travelling across the universe wouldn't they be capable of simply sending out some sort of message, or at least some sort of anomaly in the known radio frequencies we have been listening to for decades. I've only known one person that I consider credible give an account of something he could not explain other than it being from "beyond". I tend to agree that most of this stuff is our own design, just secret stuff. When you stop to consider that amazing equipment like the SR-71 Blackbird was a development of the 1950's technology they must have come up with some stuff that is truly mind blowing the way technology feeds on itself. I wouldn't be a bit surprised that the rest of the story is just a cover-up by our government just to keep us all in the dark, I'm much more inclined to go that route rather than give the credit to Chewbacky...I don't believe in ghosts and the paranormal either...its all in your head and some of those drugs were really that good.

People keep talking about aliens picking up our radio signals. Even though they've been traveling for just over 100 years, it's unlikely that any race, no matter how advanced, would be able to decipher them. The aliens would just see it as noise.

It's the same for communications from them. We simply lack the technology to pick up anything useful.

Funny thing while Einstein was trying to disprove the Copenhagen interpretation, or the Bohr ******* Theory, Einstein's associate Podolsky discovered a "flaw" in QM, which became Entanglement. Then came the Bell Inequalities, John Clauser, and whoops, entanglement is real.

In response to your statement, entanglement won't work for the application you propose.

Edit:Why is "*******" (kwontum) being censored?

We like to think that life has to be more exciting than everyday humdrum.

I really don't doubt at all that other intelligent life exists within our own galaxy, and plenty of it, but the closest possibility is light years away. Proxima Centauri has a candidate planet, which is about 12 light years distant. 7.054 to the 13th power miles. It would be really neat if we found some closer in, but the distance would still be prohibitive until we learn to fly REALLY fast.

Of course if our galaxy with zillions of star systems turns out empty, we can go to our nearest galactic neighbor, Andromeda, which is 2.537 MILLION light years away, or 1.491 to the 19th power years away. If we wait around for four billion years Andromeda is supposed to come really close to the Milky Way. So close as to occupy the same space. Then they will be MUCH closer and in four billion years time, we may have invented some really fast rockets.:D

I'm counting the days...

Hey, call me crazy, but I don't think we should be attracting so much attention to ourselves.

The radio, tv, wifi, cell tower, radar etc emissions will be far too feeble by the time it reaches Alpha Kentaurus 4 ly away to be picked up by anything like we have here at least. Figure the power falls of by inverse square of the distance, so when the distance doubles the intensity is 4 times less. Triples, 9 times less. Interstellar radiation sources will by then have scrambled and jammed it into oblivion anyway.

Read Vintage Season, a science fiction novella by C. L. Moore. It's sometimes credited to Henry Kuttner, but it was actually written by both of them...they were a husband and wife writing team responsible for quite a few sci-fi classics.

A landlord rents a house to some unusual people who have come to a city to witness what they describe as one of the most beautiful seasons in history that also contains a cataclysmic event.

Won't say more about it, don't want to spoil it for anyone who reads it.

Party pooper! (Sorry, buddy, but don't try applying for chief engineer on my upcoming intergalactic, time warping, high torque, gravity defying, alien chick magnet StratoCruiser. I'm hiring only "can do" types for my crew.)

(******* "kwantum" is surely censored because it is a trigger word that gives the vapors to those few amongst us who are less than robust in our knowledge of particle physics. Or, alternatively, it may be just those durn aliens messin' with the forum software...)

Very respectfully......

But there reverse engineering alien technology. Some of the ufos flying is ours. I'm thinking since no human body could take the G forces as we understand them. The only way a human could do it is put our body in a gel or liquid to soak up some of the g forces. The aliens are suppose to be working with us at Area 51.

I was told by a guard on a Air Force base is what we see on tv is outdated the next best thing is in a hanger hidden away.

I just don't believe it. Jet planes were being worked on in the early 1940s and everything is a logical step obtained through engineering discoveries and applications of old knowledge. A terrific amount of trial and error resulted in disasters and loss of life. This magic obtained by consulting with aliens just doesn't float. We could say that the only way the Wright brothers got off the ground was because they were visited by aliens when other inventors/developers didn't have such a priviledge.

I have to disagree.

Even if they (or we) couldn't decode and make sense of them, the transmissions would still be easily distinguished from random background noise.

The simple fact that they would have to be more regular, narrow band, and have some repetition built in for them to transmit information would distinguish them from random radio static.
