Cereal Killer

I cook whole grain oatmeal every morning for Mrs crazyphil and I.
Add a sliced banana. Warm the soy milk. No calorie sweetener.
Never get tired of it.

We do have other traditional breakfasts from time to time, but
for lunch.

Morning intestinal high-fiber tune-up.

Miss Pam says the it's a real "give away" to me being in my 2nd (or maybe 3rd) child hood that my faves are STILL Frosted Flakes, Fruit Loops and Capt'n Crunch.

It's all about.......

...... the SUGAR! :D

One of our son' s was still living at home until his early 30' s, his girl friend was over and my wife was getting ready to go shopping and she asked him what kind of cereal he wanted and he said Lucky Charms and GF started laughing.

I was recently in SW Michigan at the post funeral lunch for my favorite aunt, held, naturally, at a local church. There was a glass case featuring
congregation military.
Prominent was a clipping about a fighter-bomber squadron out
of Battle Creek. Their nickname was "The Cereal Killers"!
Kinda liked that!

As a kid, I liked Cheerios so much, I once as Santa for a box of my own!

My wife and I are trying to loose weight so of what I'm allowed, I only eat Quick Oats, made with Almond milk. Lots of the time she make single serving containers of it for a few days to come. It looks like camel poop! I just eat it cold, with my eyes closed. and get on with my life!

Ive eaten Cheerios since I was a kid. Tasted good then, tastes good now. I’m too old to learn new tricks.

I have a small bowl of Wheaties every morning washed down with coffee.
I am surprised nobody else mentioned eating them. If I have some sweets I wanted to hide they went into the Wheaties box. Nobody in the family would touch unsweetened cereal. My daughter's favorite was Fruit Loops and her favorite snack cake were Ding Dongs. I always told her you are what you eat. She 40 and still a sweet freak.

My two breakfast faves,,,Frosted Flakes and Honey Nut Cheerios. ;)
That of course is when a regular breakfast is not served or we are going out for breakfast!

The problem I have is the cereals I use to eat as a kid are no longer on the shelves. They have taken off the market or changed them so much they no longer resemble the ones I use to eat and enjoy.

I also like Shredded Wheat spoon size or the bigger biscuit size. I am also a fan of Wheaties.

Don't eat Wheaties! Look what they did to Bruce Jenner! :D

My wife doesn't eat breakfast, so I seldom cook in the morning. I prefer aigs, bacon, sausage, biscuits and grits. Not all at the same meal though. :) Oatmeal is good too.

So, it usually comes down to a bowl of Honey Nut Cheerios.

Read post # 39.

Cheerios, Rice Crispies, Special K Red Berries, Grape Nuts, Weetabix (when I can find them). Ate the sweet stuff some when I was younger, can't do that anymore.

I did too, as a youngster but...................
I had a quirk and would not eat them until they were..........

"Milk Logged" !!

That took a while but to me, well worth the wait.
One reason I needed another cereal, if we were in a rush.
