My wife and I have been going to a nearby resort. They have an indoor aquatics center that we've been going to, to use the exercise equipment in the workout room and using the indoor hot tubs, sauna and pool.
On New Years eve at shortly after 4pm, as they were getting ready for a dinner buffet, a fire started in the kitchen. It spread quickly and within minutes the entire building was burning.
Thanks to the quick thinking and actions of the staff, everybody, including their pets, got out safely.
Miraculously, the aquatics center was undamaged and the bar had minimum damage.
You can see the aquatics center at the far left.

My wife and I went out and had a look yesterday. All that's left of the lodge was some metal interior wall studs and the chimney.
The aquatics center and bar are still closed and if the powers back and things go right, they're planning on reopening them by Valentines day.
'Til then, it'll be home workouts. I see lotsa push ups in my future.

Very glad the staff, owners, and animals all got out safely. I feel bad for the owners and staff, though, and their loss of income. I hope the owner's insurance was up to date, too.

Things can be replaced they were lucky. Sorry you have to change your routine workouts.
We have some home stuff for when the weather's too bad. We're gonna work on some home routines 'til the aquatics center's reopened.
Luckily, we got a coupla Amazon gift cards for Christmas so we can order some more home exercise stuff.

Snubby I never knew our state had a nudist resort , hopefully the aquatics center reopens quickly for you and your wife.

I saw one headline—" They were forced to clothes."

Glad no one was injured. Apparently it was an electrical fire.
That's what I heard, that It started in the ceiling of the kitchen.
My wife and I have both heard some kind of animal scampering around in the ceiling above the restrooms in the aquatics center.
Rodents gnawing on the wires?
