S&W Model 327. Well, any comments yea or nay? 8 shot revolver, looks strange, I dunno exactly what to think. Would you want one and/or or comments from anyone who has one would be interesting.

I'm sure it's a fine revolver but it doesn't interest me.

I have no use for an 8 shot snub 357: it's too large for my purposes and in a caliber I dislike in an uber light weight gun.

It's also ugly, in my eyes.

I won't hunt with a gun that embarrasses the dogs.

If it appeals to you, then go for it.

I'm not interested in them. I prefer smaller framed guns, like J- or K-frames. Either of those with a 2" barrel works for me. 3" K-frames also work. The only L-frames that appeal to me are the .44s, the 696 and 69. I don't really have an interest in N-frames (1 exception: I've always wanted to duplicate Jelly Bryce's "Lucky" revolver).

Just my opinion.

The muzzle flash from a 2.5" .357 is incredible; that one would be even worse. Consider recoil recovery time as well, it would be far from speedy. A long way from being a practical revolver for many, though maybe not bad if restricted to .38 Special.

A chunky revolver that lacks the utility of a compact snubnose J-frame.38 Special.

It is 8 shots, and may already be set up for full moon clips! Load the first 2 with non +P 38's. If that won't cure what ails you, release the artillery!

These make fantastic carry guns and terrible range guns!

For years I tried to find the 45 ACP version, but they suffer from cracked frames! So I ended up with the 629 2 3/8" version. Lots of bark, huge amounts of bite!

That gun is the answer to a question I never asked.

I'm sure there are plenty of people who conceal carry an N frame, but I don't plan to ever be one of them. And if that plan should ever change, the caliber would begin with a "4".

I'll bet someday those guns will be worth a lot of money to collectors.
