I notice more and more drivers that swing wide over into the other lane to make turns. I know this is necessary for tractor trailers, towing campers, boats, etc, so this ain't directed toward them.
This is for the idiots in 35MPH zones with normal width roads and rounded curbs that seldom use a blinker, driving their small car or short wheelbase suv/pickup that do it.
The one that swing so wide into the left lane that I think they're turning left and then suddenly turn a hard right placing themselves broadside directly in my path. If I have a heavy load on or behind my truck it ain't so easy to miss them.
I make these same turns in my full size crewcab p/u without any such maneuvering. I simply make the turn. I see school buses make these same turns without hitting the curb, I think Mom or Jr in there suv or Honda Civic should be able to just fine.
Who taught these people to drive?
Are there video games that show this as being normal?
Rant Over!
Thanks for listening.
