I keep getting AOL and Verizon notices that they are upgrading my A/C and please confirm by "clicking here" and if I do not my accounts will be suspended. If you simply move your cursor over the link you will see the "sender". Usually from a free internet hosting account. The next move is the delete key. Mind you the talented ones really give quite a written reason. Dave_n

I don't even answer my home phone. If it's legit, friends or whatever, they'll leave a message if it's important. I got a message from "Amazon" a couple days after I actually bought something through them, saying some suspicious purchases were used through my Amazon account; if I want my money reimbursed I must call the number they left. Amazon is not a checking account or credit account. How the heck can someone buy something without paying for it? Of course, I called and had a little fun with

I get the desire to screw with these dirtbags.
Caller ID is worth every penny. If I don't know the name or number I don't pick up. And some of the messages are priceless. Especially the Indian guy telling me that a warrant for my arrest has been issued and the FBI is on the way.

I see how long I can keep them on the line while insulting their intelligence and heritage. After several minutes, I had one guy ask me why I didn't hang up (this was after he swore he was tracking my phone number and knew exactly where I lived) and I told him the longer I could keep a "person" (feel free to substitute your favorite insult here) like him on the phone, the less chance he had of actually scamming someone else. The light must have clicked on because he promptly hung up. I laughed for several minutes over that one!
I kept one on the phone for about ten minutes one day while he tried to get me to understand he was sending the FBI to arrest me. After I had 'nuff fun screwing around with him he finally realized and he told me FY...I started laughing pretty good. I got silence for about ten seconds when he broke his silence with the same phrase and asked me why I was laughing. I told him I finally understood the first english phrase he uttered. Told him to ask his granny if she still remembered me. He said ...what? what?? I finally hung up laughing. I hate these scumbags that rip off people
