More scammers out there be careful

My brother happened on a site today offering unlimited primers and powder at before pandemic prices. Friends be careful out there and deal only with known established businesses. Thankfully my brother called me before making a deal.
If it is to good to be true it is.

I was looking for some hard to find ammo and found them with an internet search. A little digging left no doubt it was a scam. They can offer low prices and list hard to find items in stock, because they have no intention of shipping anything. They just want to steal your money.

The website previously listed their address as 60 Elm St, Pittsfield, MA. That address comes back as a hair salon. They now list their address as 228 Worcester Rd, Westminster, MA. That’s a residential address.

One thing that is very easy to do is go to Google Maps street view and check out there address. I've seen some crazy building and empty lots. Had some classic e-mail exchanges with the scammer trying to explain things.

It's a darn shame there are so many people out there who want to take something that they don't deserve and is not theirs. In the end I hope they get their punishment.

Definitely don't trust them when they do that. I almost did it the other night until I found out that and also minimum order was 200. Then I said whoa this is a scam.

This last week, DirecTv was going to "cut my bill in half!" and Capitol One was "increasing my credit limit" & giving me a "90$ reward"...

Two different fraudulent addresses each + a "tap here to be removed from our mailing list"...

Lots of scams out there and anything that sounds too good to be true is most likely a scam. My mom called me, said she was considering the purchase of an air fryer and found a website offering Ninja Foodies for 50% off, she asked me if it was legitimate. I looked up the site and there were complaints and the site had a poor trust rating.


For me, when purchasing primers or powder, I prefer to buy local, either through a gun shop or gun show retailer. For bullets and brass, either direct from the manufacturer or through a retailer that is well known and has a good reputation. Do I end up paying a little more? I'm sure I do, but I also get exactly what I ordered, not a substitute or worse, nothing at all.

Some scammers “spoof” their location. They show a legitimate location of a real business, but that’s not who they really are. I look carefully at their electronic address (url or webmail) to see whether it matches who they claim to be. Scammers spend so much time and effort being crooked, they could probably do very well if they tried an honest pursuit.

Zelle is totally legit. It is a electronic payment system that is owned by a consortium of the banks that offer it. It's the nature of it that's the problem. Once sent, payments are irrevocable. There is no way to get to back once it's transferred.

Never make a payment through PayPal to any site that requests you make a payment listed as friends or family. Their fraud protection does not cover your purchase. That place is amusing. Just reading the "About Us" provides 100% notice that the site in not legitimate.
