Over forty years ago I graduated college and as such I bought a gold class ring back then. After continuous wearing for those many years the stone was all scratched up and dull and as well as the gold was dull. The ring was made by Jostens of Texas. They guarantee their rings for life. My wife encourage me to send it back to see if they would fix it up. Went to their website, fill out a form and then sent it to them back in January.

I got my ring back today with a new stone and all polished up like new. NO Charge!! I just had to pay to ship it back to them. Now that's customer service.

Good to hear! The stone in mine is all chewed up from wearing it while working on cars. I may just send mine in also. Thanks for the post.

I had mine resized once, great service. When I graduated I told their rep I wanted the biggest, but cheapest ring they had. I won't go into my story, but that ring means a lot to me. I thought about getting one later that had more (any?) precious metal in it, but it wouldn't be the same.

Gave my high school class ring to my then girlfriend 'cause we were going steady. She was a year ahead of me. After she went off to college she soon dumped me.

Twenty-five years later she showed up at my dad's funeral, gave me a remarkably affectionate kiss, and asked me if I wanted my class ring back.

I thanked her for the offer, but said that after all those years she might as well keep it.

Lost my high school ring working on my Roadrunner in 70, fast forward to 2005 friends helping me clean out parents home were metal detecting for colonial and CW stuff when one found my ring. They found lots of good stuff other than my ring.

I wore a ring until I started welding classes at the ripe old age of 16 at a local commercial welding school. I took the ring off and have not worn one since then. My second day of school I saw a fella stick a welding rod to his ring which was laid bare to the grounding table. The resulting heat burned his finger off at the joint. It wasn't stuck for more than 5 seconds but that was enough.
