not interested in another pistol caliber. Happy with my 9 and .45 handguns. Just got my issue of Guns and Ammo, and the writer when discussing the renewed interest and production of the 10 mm pistols, talks about the need for firearm manufactures to keep introducing new versions of calibers and firearms, or the buying public won't feel the "need" to continue to buy the newest gun. Sort of constantly introducing new firearms or they won't remain in business long.
Sort of like the new 5.56 caliber/platform proliferation, of slightly different cartridges, with often insignificant differences in ballistics from what is already available. I think there are dozens of them now. Where did the Whisper go?
In other words, if the public is content with what they have, the manufacturers will go out of business.
Heck, when I went out on ops with the Vietnamese, I left my M16 back in my hootch, and just carried my 7 round 1911. Plus two mags.
I think this new cartridge will never be more than a niche choice. Look at the fading interest in the GAP, the 357 Sig, the TCP22, even the fading 40 cal. There is a long list of forgotten rifle cartridges, once touted as just perfect for some use.
Oh, I took think one should have a minimum of 6 magazines for any pistol. The time will likely come when the Government makes semi auto pistols and their magazines illegal or hard to get.
Me, I am done with acquiring pistols. NAM VET
