This section is slowing a little bit, so I thought I would jump start it with some "Big 3" pictures. Post any Myres Leather Holsters, Belts, Sheaths, Ammo Slides, Gun Rugs, etc. You know we all like pictures!

I will start it with one of my favorites. It is a an Uncataloged Myres Ranger Threeperson's Style holster that fits a Colt SAA with 5 1/2" barrel.

Terry, that is a great find and obviously a perfect match for your Registered Magnum. Did it come with the gun, or did you find the needle (a KCPD stamped holster) in the haystack?

The silver wrapped Myres now belongs to another S&WCA member. The others are still with me.

Tim, I knew you wouldn't disappoint. I don't think I have ever seen the silver wrapped, gold and ruby embellished Myres that formerly was yours. What is the story that goes with it? Are the rubies real? I would love to have been able to see how it was wrapped!

The silver was attached with very small "wood" screws. Sterling silver, 10 karat escutcheons with real rubies. An engraved 3.5" barrel 357 Magnum was in the holster. The grips were Ed Bohlin and are sterling with 14 karat steer head. The revolver shipped to Joplin, MO in the mid-fifties. All embellishments were done later. No idea who commissioned the work.

Holy mackerel, that might be the BBQ gun of all time.

Larry, a couple of fellow Forum members made my acquisition of the KCPD holster possible. As I recall it, turnerriver saw the holster listed on eBay. He notified Toyman of the listing, and Toyman notified me. I took it from there. I have only seen one other KCPD marked holster like it, and it was accompanying another KCPD Reg Mag for sale on GunAuction.com several years ago. The holster fits the 4" KCPD Reg Mag perfectly. The KCPD purchased 473 of the 4" RM's and NRM's so there must be more of the holsters around somewhere.

A couple that were handy, including a rather rare rough-out for a SAA.

Lee, both of those are really nice. I don't think I have ever even heard of a "rough-out" holster from Myres much less seen one. In fact, while looking through some Myres catalogs over the years, I don't remember seeing it offered as an option. That is cool. I guess it wouldn't show small scratches and the like like the regular holsters do. At least, you could just brush them out to make them disappear. Thanks for sharing.

I really like this holster. It is a SD Myres Model 640 Holster with optional full lacing. It is a calf lined SD Myres fully floral carved, double-loop edge laced holster with a dyed background, and safety strap. Even the safety strap is laced. It is made for a Colt Detective Special with a 2 inch barrel, and looks like previous owners may have slipped a gun in it a very few times.

I got this belt/holster combo sometime back from Turnerriver. It's not my usual style at all but the jockstrap holster and the carving just made it irresistible. Also, it goes well with the engraved Colt with one piece ivory. Kinda over the top but it makes for interesting conversation.
