I'm the live and let live type. Squirrels in the bird feeder, well squirrels got to eat to. Racoons turned over the garbage cans, well that's what Racoons do. HOWEVER. You bother me or mine, the poo just hit the fan. A deer wants to cross my dog, dead deer. Shoot, Shovel, and Shut up.

Down here in South Louisiana when we have nuisance deer , we fatten them up with some good sweet corn ... when well fattened we set up an ambush .
A 22 LR with or without a "sound reduction device" has taken many deer and hogs with a well placed shot . My grandfather taught me how to shoot one , aim carefully and place the shot through the ear hole and into the brain for a nice easy one-shot kill .
We disposed of the evidence by consumation ... they eat real good ! Now you only do this after getting permission and permits from Wildlife & Fisheries to take a"Nuisance Deer or Nuisance Hog"
Check local Nuisance Laws and see what can be done ... aggressive animals also fall in the Nuisance catagory along with those animals damaging crops ... check out the Nuisance Laws !

Use a hammer on a deer, eh? Ya’ll are tough up there in BC!

I’ve heard people talk about the “3-S’s” before. It usually means shoot, shovel and shut-up.
In this case, it would be smack, slice and sear!

Hammer was the closest thing to hand , I wouldn’t face it bare handed
I’m not sure if you’re being facetious or not lol but these deer are no joke the one older doe has an angry look of hate in its eyes when you see it up close , it is badly scarred and has open wounds that have healed such that it breathes through holes in its sinuses just below its eyes it looks like a mutant monster from an mnight shyamalon movie
The site is in a residential neighbourhood , it is an water lift station on a paved side street can’t really shoot and dress a deer here haha
I wouldn’t eat one of these scabby looking things anyway
I actually just want them to leave my dog and I alone

The deer around here are pretty timid,those aren’t moose are they? Lol
Paintball gun or a wrist rocket might do the trick.

I grew up on a ranch and been an outdoors guy my whole 54 years
Never been challenged by a deer like this
They don’t just stand their ground they advance on yours !

Saunders Wrist Rocket. Ball bearings, marbles or .451 lead round balls. Just keep your thumb down.

I'd devise some way of subduing it to beat its brains in with a jack handle if I couldn't otherwise shoot it.
Follow that with a research project on food chain placement.

It wasn't so humorous back in 2005...

My wife was pregnant with our son, and in higher risk status due to placenta previa (exit door blocked). Of course, maintaining some sort of physical activity was important for general heath and avoiding pre-eclampsia. It was October / November timeframe and we went for a mild hike/walk at a familiar and nearby open space area, but she was definitely limited in mobility.

Rounding the corner on the trail, we can upon a large mule deer buck with his harem of does. The buck was not pleased we interrupted happy time, and made aggressive movements towards my wife, rack down, who was desperately trying to waddle in the other direction.

As the mutual yelling commenced, there was no question about me drawing my .38 Special Model 60-12 from my pocket holster and its loadout of five Speer Lawman 158 gr TMJ flatnose +Ps. My wife and/or unborn son getting gored was not really an option. I thumbed-back the hammer and lined-up on the buck's chest. Fortunately, the buck paused his advance, and I was able to pick-up a fist size rock and chuck it at him, causing him to break the other direction- thus ending the situation.

So, yes, I have drawn a gun on a deer... And it wasn't a joke, or funny...

Talked to a Special Forces buddy from Australia. Since guns are a no-no there they hunt hogs with knives. He said we grab them by the back legs and drag them out of the brush and then stab them with a knife. No thanks.

We SC boys taught them Aussies how to do it.

My deer lease in East Texas is near 10 sections of
thick piney woods.
Sometimes when hunting, a doe will catch a whiff and suspect a
human is in the stand and get brave.

She will take 4-5 steps towards the stand and stomp the ground
and blow.
The third time.. she wins the prize of getting a tag stapled to
her ear.

My father has problems with moose. Much bigger and more dangerous than any deer.

They come in his yard and eat the bushes and flowers.

He has a Crosman air pistol that works great. But he has to open the garage door and shoot from inside. He has a nosy neighbor that’s a treehugger.

He shoots them in the butt and they run off.

He says bear spray works well too.

I think you've hit upon the problem. Traumatized. Possibly shot with a 22 or it could have been bitten by a predator (dog, bear, cat, wolf?)
It needs to be put down. Other does and adolescents around her might begin to emulate her behavior.

This. Might try the local fish and wildlife agency. Let them know of it's appearance and behavior. They should at least give you advice on how to deal with it.
