Time to put tires on my wife's Toyota Sienna Van. Came with Goodyear Eagle RS-A and replaced at 50,000 with same. Good tires but short tread life. Looking at Bridgestone and Michelin with longer tread life. Have Bridgestone Quiet Track on my Toyota Camry V-6 and very pleased.

A new Discount Tire Tire store just opened in our city. Have been checking on line, they have some deals, low price guarantee, etc. Never used them.

Any feedback on Discount Tire Stores and tires. Her van has 235/55 R 18 tires.

Thanks!

Me and most of my friends swear by Discount Tire. I used a competitor for a bit because they were a lot closer but went back to DT for my last set and was glad I did!

I use Discount Tire for all my tire needs.
A few Summers ago I needed to repair a tire on my JD garden tractor, all I needed was a tube but those tires are almost impossible to work on so I brought it to DT. When I went to pick it up, the manager said "No charge". He used it as a learning tool as none of his employees had ever seen an inner tube and didn't have a clue how to install it. He said it was funny how amazed they were.

Not sure if they make them for your vehicle but, I would go with the Michelin Cross Climate 2. I got them for our Subaru. haven't had a chance to use them yet but, a friend has them on his Volvo and loves them. Saw them on Youtube and was very impressed.

I have been using Discount Tire for approximately 30 years and have never been disappointed in their service. I was so impressed the first time that I have never even considered going anywhere else. I have been to at least six of their stores in different towns and even two states and have always received the same, extremely satisfactory, service at all of them.

Yep, good folks, solid company...It's a shame they quit selling truck tires or I'd still be with them...:(...Ben

Do you mean trucks like semi trucks or ??? Because I just looked online and they sell tires for Ford trucks up to the F-650.

Over the years we have used Discount Tire for both wheels and for tires; and each time we were completely satisfied. Though the last couple times when we’ve had to replace the ‘factory’ tires (that lasted nowhere near 50k miles lol) we ended up actually going thru our dealer. They were as good or better than DT for priceand for us much closer and convenient.
But as the thread is on DT, yes we had good luck with them.

I've used Discount for years and the Company I worked for used them. Had 33 service trucks. Good warranty service, free tire repair and rotation. Just don't forget the alignment at a reputable place, arguably not a dealer.

I've been using Discount tires for 20 years or so. Very happy with their products and service. Free flat fixes and rotations too. And they air your tires up for free, just drive in.

Eagles are a first line tire (not a premium tire) with a 50,000 mile tread life. So, you got what you paid for and obviously you must be a careful driver.

Goodyear Assurance Max Life is what you need. At an 85,000 mile warranty they should far exceed the Eagles.

I never had an Eagle, but I'm on my 5th set of Assurances on 3 different cars. The standard model has a 65,000 mile life, and the last set I had 70,000 miles on them when I sold the car and they didn't need to be replaced.

Aside from treadlife, the Assurances handle wet and snow better than any tire I ever had.

I use them. And always go Michelin.

Make sure to take the manager out to your car with you and note the condition of the wheels. Check them when done.

Sometimes they will, if the tech is inexperienced, chip the edges of painted wheels. They will however, fix them right quick as they have a wheel repair guy in their service.

They also repair flats in tires they didn’t sell you.
