So, this is the second time in the same grocery, and the same deli counter, I saw a guy with an IWB pistol that his shirt rode up and left the gun sticking out like a sore thumb. I have seen guns before so no concerns here. But what if some anti gunner or just someone who's afraid of guns sees this and makes a big deal?
I question if I should quietly mention it or just ignore and go about my business, as I did. Printing is one thing, I see that a lot. I suppose this is a non issue but I still don't like to see a good guy get hassled. Maybe if it were a mall it could be an issue. Has anyone dealt with this? Maybe a LEO would mention it? I think walking away was the best choice, but I second guessed myself later. Non issue?

I wouldn't say anything. We all know we need to be conscious of what we are carrying concealed and keep it that way. With open carry lately it does not seem people get crazy about spotting a firearm like they used to. And if a police officer happens to come check it out that will be a learning experience for the person carrying. Just my opinion.

Leave it alone, please.

You need not protect him. He is not in any unusual danger from the Karens. "He's got a gun!!!!!!!" This is part of the 2nd A lifestyle. We learn to just deal with it. The cops come and you have a nice talk with them and then the cops try to talk to the Karen...

If you can be honest with yourself, do you think carrying a gun is a "thing"? We are products of this culture and whether we like it or not our minds are colored by the anti-2A culture in which we live. This truth explains (for me at least) the hostility to open carry even on a forum such as this. I know you mentioned that this was not open carry, this is printing sort of. "Concealed means concealed!!!!!!" Again we are products of this culture and it is hard for our minds to normalize carrying.

If you saw a movie of the three musketeers, you would not think to yourself much less say out loud "OMG They've all got swords!!!!!!"

Second thought when you do catch someone flashing or if you see someone who is open-carrying but with no situational awareness it might make sense to move into a protective posture or position so that he does not become victim of a snatch. Just a thought...

I'd leave it be. Frankly, anyone who allows their firearms to be seen either wants them to be seen or otherwise just doesn't care if they're seen, because anyone who actually takes "Concealed Carry" seriously is conscientious about their choice of attire and has been meticulous in their selection of cover garments to ensure that their CCW remains concealed at all times.

Pa used to be a concealed means "concealed" state. Back in 1978 I came home from fishing, and had removed my vest, and my SW 39-2 in a Bianchi X19 holster was in plain sight. A patrol car happened up the street, locked up the tires, backed up, and began to engage me. When the officer saw me, he used my name and said is it loaded, I said I do not carry unloaded weapons. He used my name and said that Pa required it concealed at that time, and could be a cause to lose your carry permit. I said sorry, I forgot, slipped a shirt over it and said I appreciate the info and will not forget again. 2 nights later I bought him a beer or 2 at a local police club. Do people know I am carrying? I do not open carry unless I am in the woods hunting. No one needs to know I am armed, since I believe it decreases my advantage if someone would start doing something bad. I always removed my "Security" shirt at 7 am before the gunshow would open, there were other people on duty then. I do not want to make myself a target for gun theft, attack, or having some uninformed person start screaming for the police. I have carried since 1977 and have told my wife I want my 3" blue speed six in my coffin with me and a reload! Telling a stranger could have unintended consequences. I would like to let a person know but a friendly statement is not always accepted as such. I will be quiet, but I will have my eye on him. Be Safe,

...I just bought my pistol mainly for home defense...not for Clint Eastwood draws
...so, I got 2 Sneaky Pete ''holsters ..these are ''big'' holsters
..so just yesterday I took it out..in full view...this was my camo one, not the ''Deception'' one that is blueish, with the ''medical'' patch..it completely hides the pistol
-went out just to say hi to someone at an outdoor restaurant patio in the park with mucho--mucho people---
--then went to another restaurant to eat
--then went to a big car show in a huge parking lot with mucho--mucho people...and talked a lot to the owners of the cars
--then went to a store that was busy
--no one seemed to care or notice anything at all
--it is very comfortable to me ...I ''forgot'' it was there
--also, even though my dog is not long haired, we have hair all over the place, so I like how the pistol is fully covered by the holster...if the pistol is not covered, some hair will get on it

I would not try to tell someone that their concealed carry weapon is no longer concealed. If they are legally allowed to carry concealed, doing so and keeping it concealed is solely their responsibility. Plus, you don't know, they might have a hair trigger temperament and you might find yourself in a very bad position.

I agree with the need to keep it to yourself. I sometimes see people in stores reaching for the top shelf and exposing their CCW. I figure if its in the holster its no threat, and just go about my business.

A couple years back at a big box close by to a troubled medium sized city I saw a man print in the parking lot. I also saw the license plate on the car and it was a SMA with a couple numbers. SMA is States Magistrates Association, (AKA Justices of the piece)

I slowly/safely approached him head on and he then looked up and I said softly your honor your weapon is showing!

He thanked me and rearranged his clothes. Said he had a new gun/holster and would be more careful, then he thanked me again and we proceeded on our different paths.

Sc has open carry. So if it shows no big deal. BTW I can count on one hand the number of open carriers I have seen. Last week I was returning from an unfruitful turkey hunt. Had stripped of jacket and 45 was exposed. Went in grocery store to get some chew........Nobody freaked........

As long as what he is doing is legal

and he poses no threat to anyone it really is none of your business. As concerned as you may be it is probably best do what you went there to do, get it done and on to your next stop.
