To be safe, since an error can cause such complication for you, I suggest you ask the seller to photograph the SN on the gun and e-mail you the photo!

You are correct though, 5CU is not correct. The most common mis-reading would be the letter S mistaken for a 5, but I am positive SCU is not correct either for that model! Let us know how it works out.

Indeed S and 5 are very alike, never thought about that. I am contacting the seller again.

I show 14 Model 60-18s on my list. The serial numbers begin CHY, CJA, CJF, CJN, CJR, CJW, CJX, CPH, CPU, DAR, & DBX.

It will be interesting to learn what the real serial number of the one you're considering.

Prefix DCU is listed in SCSW 4 as from 2008. Are you getting the original box with end label? That will give you its age fairly precisely.

Unfortunately no box or papers, but this is (as far as I seem to remember) only the second or third one I see for sale in Western Europe since they were made, so I took it.
