They put it right in front of me. Stopped by Carolina Sporting Arms this evening to look around, BS with the guys about guns, etc. This beautiful 586-4 apparently walked in the door just a few hours before me. The original owner purchased it at CSA's original location about 39 years ago. 1993 or so.

Was not looking for a 586, or even an L Frame. I have a pile of revolvers but only one other L Frame. But, there it was. Looking just like the photos below. No box. A couple speed loaders. Nearly perfect condition. Of course, the folks at CSA gave me a great deal. I'll shoot it this weekend.

Congrats on the purchase and thanks for posting pics.
I bought a new 6” ND back in the day but my brother has had it shortly after I got it (‘81?)
Around 1990, I stumbled upon this 4” -1 as it now is in pic, grips and all for $150 at OKC gshow. No, wasn’t hot but this was at the time PD’s and individuals were dumping their outdated revolvers for plastic fantastics. It is a good shooter, can ask anyone that’s shot it.

Your appearance at that place and time was providential. Of course you were supposed to buy it. :D :)
No kidding! I have often looked back on gun purchases when the stars were aligned just right. Then there are times that I've missed out on a good deal just by a few minutes. Darn it!
