Was in the local stop and rob and overheard a customer deciding NOT to buy a pouch of Levi Garrett chewing tobacco when he heard the price.....$18.60  This is not some place special, just your average run of the mill stop and rob...what you goys up north call a Bodega.
How can da woikin' man afford that  Hell, weed doesn't cost that much.

What I cannot understand is why anyone would be that stupid as to pay such a price for any product that can cause fatal illness and that gives no obvious benefit!!! Don't give me the old B.S. line about pleasure!

My parents and grand parents smoked. My Dad bought me candy cigarettes when I was 4 years old. I tried to learn to smoke in high school. The first time I got sick smoking a cigarette walking home from school I thought "Anything that makes you feel this bad cannot be good!", IT IS STUPID:mad::mad::mad: That was 65 years ago and my feelings haven't changed,:confused::confused: This applies to all tobacco products, recreational drugs, etc.

Cigars and cigarettes I understand. Chewing tobacco is just plain nasty! :(

A carton of cigarettes was $5 back in the late '70's. With all the sin taxes added on by the State, it now $80+ here in Michigan. There's no way I'll pay that, so I make my own for about $7 a carton. If you're gonna do dumb things, the least you can do is be smart about it! ;)

What more need be said. If people want to use this stuff, the govmnt needs to tax it to high heaven so that we people that don't use it can get a tax break.

IMHO, the recent trend to legalize pot is the worst thing our govmnt has foisted upon us. I say that after spending an adult lifetime witnessing what morons potheads are.

"Dip" is spendy here in Florida too. And don't believe the $5.50/pack average cig price. Marlboro Reds are over $9. I have a friend who has been smoking them the last hunnert years. They tore half his throat out a couple years back, for the cancer, still can't get through that 2nd 9ball game without excusing hiself to smoke so they must be good. Choose your bad habits wisely :) Joe

I related not long ago that I calculated that my toenail fungus medication is several $millions per gallon.

Back in my youth, I crossed the Ohio River into Kentucky where the price of a carton of cigarettes was about $2. Locally a carton is now within spitting distance of $100.

I made my own smoke for a lot of years. Found a brand of cigarettes called Native, can't tell them from Marlboro. I buy 3 cartons a month, and out the door it's $101.11. Still a lot more than making them, but I really hated making them. I always did 200 at a time.

My dad bought chewing tobacco buy the case...big boxes! When he died he had 2.5 cases. My mom has no idea what to do with it. Still stashed behind the bar in her basement.

That is one of the best examples of an oxy-moron I have ever seen!!!
Thank you, I think...

I've been called an ox and I've been called a moron, but I don't believe it was ever in the same sentence.
