A careless motorist cost PBSO 74 years of dedicated law enforcement.
I hate stories like this, posting has links to various stages of the story.
My heart goes out to their families and colleagues.

What a tragedy  Any details….texting, drunk?

Inattentive driver. LEOs had stopped on the side of the road because one was having motorcycle problem. Woman tried to change lanes, lost control, hit all three LEOs. Two died on scene, one lived a few days.

PBCSO is undecided on whether they’re going to charge the driver.
Not sure how they can’t charge her.

They can (and should) file charges against her, but it won’t bring those three officers back home to their families. I don’t know what they should charge her with, but it probably won’t be/can’t be what most of us would like. :(

This breaks my heart. I worked traffic for 8 years on motor and in a car. It's always dangerous and we never forgot how fortunate we were to go home every night. Prayers going out to those families.

Without knowing the exact circumstances, it's hard to say. It all be on her, or there could have been other forces at play - like another driver or some type of mechanical failure. We'll have to wait for the investigation results, which I suspect is what PBSCO is doing as well.
