Nice to see some other sim racers here! I race with an informal weekly league from the Grassroots Motorsports forum, but also use the sim to learn new tracks and test possible changes for the real world race car. I have found that the sim really helps with getting up to speed quickly at a new track.

Mine is a bit simpler. All I do is hotlap. After 38 years and around 1,000,000 miles driving around lots of idiots while fixing copiers for Xerox I prefer to have just me and the track. Amazing how I seem to hop on the rig even less now that I am retired. I need to work on that.

I've been sim racing and sim rig upgrading off and on since 1995. No real world racing as there is no Shift-R like in Grand Prix Legends.

IIRC I first started with Indycar Racing about the same time. Moved to Grand Prix Legends when it came out and drove that and its mods for 9 years. Switched to Race 07 because it had the Nordschleife. Took a break for several years and decided to try Assetto Corsa a few years ago, also because it had Nords. Glad I did.

Assetto Corsa didn't have a Daytona Sunrise Orange Metallic C7 Corvette Stingray, so I had to try to create one.

Himself (my cat, Smudge) decided to bring a LIVE field mouse in today and I wasn't able to catch it. Its last known location was under the dushwasher
I've closed the cat door (4:30 pm) now that he's in, but leaving a small opening in the hope that tonight it might sense some fresh air and escape, but I suspect it may be a rambunctious night.
